Publisher's summary

With a thriving parahuman accounting practice, a steady relationship, and a circle of trusted friends, Fred’s undead life has become more enjoyable than his normal one ever was. Unfortunately, it also seems that he’s no longer the only vampire to appreciate the up-and-coming city of Winslow, Colorado. A new clan of vampires is moving in, and they aren’t well known for tolerating outsiders in their territory.

Now, Fred must cope with the growing presence - and threat - of other vampires even as he struggles to keep up with his business’s demands and make time for his friends. Between hidden parahuman towns, crazed vampire hunters, quarreling mages, and the world’s least subtle spy, it will take all of Fred’s wiles just to keep his head above water. And as the new clan sinks their fangs deeper and deeper into his city, the undead accountant is faced with a choice between two equally unappealing options: flee his home, or stand against an entire clan of fellow vampires.

Performed by Christopher Walker, Nora Achrati, Marni Penning, Yasmin Tuazon, Shanta Parasuraman, Steven Carpenter, Carolyn Kashner, Christopher Graybill, Anthony Palmini, Laura C Harris, Danny Gavigan, Matthew Bassett, Scott McCormick, Alejandro Ruiz, Bradley Smith, Colleen Delany, Holly Adams, Michael John Casey, Terence Aselford, and Zeke Alton.

Just perfect!

I'm a huge fan of this entire series and this is one of my favorites in it. Perfectly dramatized here.

prefer dramatic presentation

love the series. I listened to the since voice actor version based on recommendations here. I did not enjoy the story nearly as much. I will keep buying the dramatization versions for the high quality and entertainment.

Great edition of a great story!

I love these. I can't get enough. They're the perfect pick-me-up on a bad day. I read them as palette cleansers between really intense series.

Fred is just such a sweet guy. I LOVE the plot happening with Gideon and the little girl. I want to know more! There's an epic fantasy buried in here, but it just doesn't go that direction. They're so funny and so good.

I prefer the dramatized audio versions. They're really fun and not overdone. The voice actors do a fantastic job and the music effects are perfect.

So fun!

Usually I don’t like graphic audiobooks because they are too distracting with all the sound effects and things. But this one is very tastefully done and very enjoyable! The vampire accountant series is great!

Best yet!

Best book in the series yet. The story felt a lot more cohesive from beginning to end. Previous books were a bit hodge podge. The full cast performance is great.

Amazing but cringe, worthy and full of convenient plot devices

Just like the first books, this book is also full of plot holes and convenient plot devices, which makes absolutely no sense I have stated this over and over how does Crystal know everything but she did not know that Fred was a vampire who lived near the king of the west does anyone notice when she came to Colorado? All of these different characters started appearing these important figures in the world. It’s a literal joke, pay attention to things in this book that happened. Just ran up on Fred and found him that makes no sense. How all of a sudden Crystal and them were trying to escape this vampire clan, but from the jump, they could’ve just started. Their own clan makes no sense, but the agents are supposed to be these amazing bosses. It goes back-and-forth. It’s bad writing.

What I really hate is the lack of racing this book. There are no Asian no Spanish no Black people. The only people we know that’s a different ethnicity is Asha and the rest of them are just Caucasian. There’s no diversity in this book except for creatures something else that’s very annoying.

They created another vampire villain out of air like they did and book one when Fred‘s vampire father came back. They just made up this guy and of course, at the end it was cringe worthy the way he got defeated and shamed by the power of friendship. What is this a one piece manga

Arts comes all the way to Colorado just to train someone there’s a truck full of ghouls that try to attack Fred and Lillian. Crystal knows everything but doesn’t know something but then knows everything. How does she even know about Gideon the whole time Gideon was in Colorado arch and Crystal were never there and she and Fred never ran into her before like this book just never makes sense but it is a good read. It’s a good performance good actors, but as far as the story concept after the vampire Hunter chapter
