Publisher's summary

From acclaimed thriller-suspense novelists Heather Graham and Jon Land comes the action-packed follow-up to The Rising, pitting Alex and Sam against a new and ageless foe!

The recipient of RWA’s Lifetime Achievement Award and ITW’s ThrillerMaster Award, Heather Graham is at the pinnacle of her career. In Blood Moon, she and USA Today bestselling author Jon Land continue the story of high school seniors Alex Chin and Samantha Dixon that began with The Rising.

After winning a major battle against the alien invaders, Alex and Sam's journey to save humanity continues even as their friendship blossoms into something more. Guiding their steps is a mysterious book, written in a language that has never been deciphered . . . until Alex finds himself able to translate it. Soon, the teens are traversing the world, with each new destination holding another key to defeating the aliens.

An ageless foe, long the guardian of the secrets his race left behind on Earth, rises to stop them, whatever the cost. At his disposal is a deadly and merciless army that has been awaiting this very war, an army as unstoppable as it is relentless.

Over the ruins of the lost Mayan city of El Mirador, a blood moon is about to rise, triggering the end of humanity, unless Alex and Sam can prevail in a struggle that will determine the fate of the planet.

Almost gave up on book 2 of this underrated gem…

A great sophomore continuation - Enjoy the sci-fi while still grounded on earth around our time. I identify the most with that kind not the far fetched thousand years million miles type. It’s well performed and is an engaging story. If you like that type than make sure you get book 1 first.

First! To garner author and editor et all’s attention - I think is listeners or at least me deserve to know why a change of performers?! Mr. Skelley is good, even above average as I have heard him before but what happened to Luke D who i am sure you agree is in top rung with Brick, Bray and Porter. I understand things happen - but it is an adjustment a reader/listener does not like to make since we identify the story, characters etc with the performer. Could anyone else do Mayberry’s Joe Ledger other than Porter? Maybe an extreme example but was it Mr. Daniels didn’t want to, was it financial ? Was it authors, editors choice and why ? It can’t be a timing thing because both of you would make it work if that was the only reason. So just want to know… i think and hope I have made a strong case as to why we deserve to- ok…

This was a wonderful book. It has all the interesting parts. There is the possibility of love, plenty of action, and a great conclusion.
