Publisher's Summary

Vampire Dante Gabriel is starving. What he craves is red gold - human blood. After being held captive as a blood slave to a female vampire for years, he has finally escaped. Unchained at last, he follows his nose to the nearest blood bank to sate his hunger.

ER nurse Erin Hamilton expects just another busy night shift...until she finds a gorgeous stranger vandalizing the hospital blood bank. Though her logic tells her to turn him in, she’s pulled by stronger and unfamiliar emotions to protect the man who seems oddly infatuated with her scent. Chemistry sizzles between them, but Dante, plagued by nightmares of his time in captivity, fears he won’t be able to control himself...especially when he discovers a secret she doesn’t even know she’s hiding.

Ugh

This was a waste of time. I couldn’t get past the unrealistic decisions and reactions of the main characters in the first few chapters. There was no character build up, no real plot to speak of. I just had no interest to keep going. Maybe it gets better, but there are better books out there.

Wow....Sexy Vampires

Blood Bond 1 by Helen Hardt
Five Stars

Blood Bond is the amazing start to the new Blood Bond Saga by Helen Hardt. If this first installment is the precursor then we are going to have an outstanding saga. I love Helen’s take on Vampires, it the modern day version. Dante really resonates with me. He is hungry and trying to stay ahead of the captor he escaped from. He is a young vampire but without the knowledge and understanding of how to control his cravings because he was a prisoner for the last ten years. Erin is a night shift nurse that ends up helping Dante. She is a strong character and I can’t wait to read more about these two in further installments.
The narration is spot on by John Lane and Lauren Rowe. This is the first time I have listened to either one of them and I’m now hooked. They did a great job of bringing the characters to life.

Boring and cheesy

I have no idea how this book at so many stars. The story is boring and very short. The author clearly put little into the story to try and make you feel forced to buy the next book to find out anything of substance. The voices were also very cheesy and hard to listen to.

I keep waiting for it to get better but....

I'm going into pt 2 and I hope it becomes easier to listen to. There's no point. Just how honey Erin is for Dante. Nothing else goes on at ALL. Idc how hot Dante is... he is a total creeper. The last chapter and how he spoke to her ruined Dante for me I think forever. Erin too. Please get better! I want to like this. And it was really hard to listen to the narrators, especially the man. Ugh especially the man!

More, more!

A great tease of a start. The characters the author created leaves the reader straining for more. The biggest questions remain. Who's this mysterious queen and who's the temporary replacement she speaks of?

Disappointed listener

Overall, the story line is shallow & lack substance.
Performance, the male narrator was good but the female sounded mechanical.
The story focused on the insta-love and sexual drive than anything worth listening to.

Ugh

Its a good book but I hate hate hate cliff hangers. Maybe i should have said it would have been a great book had they not cut it off midstream. Especially a book i had to pay for.

Couldn't get past the voice

could possible be good but the female narrator sound like an emotionless robot. I couldn't get past 2 chapters.
