Strong characters & powerful writing makes best audio!

Kennedy Ryan writes such powerful characters that are unapologetic and so real. Banner is a latina who is Mensa smart but struggled with weight issues and Jared is a heartless (or so he thought) who fell hard for her in college but due to a misunderstanding, they parted on very bad terms. I love how strong Banner is and Seraphina Valentine totally brought it. The badass sports agent who a heart of a lion. Teddy Hamilton did a phenomenal job bringing Jared to life in all his dickishness. He loves her with all his heart and would do anything for her. Sooo powerful and the sexy times are crazy hot. Definitely going to my re-listen list! One of the best in 2019!

This Made Me A Believer!!!

OMG! This book! This book is everything!
It had me gripped and caring about the characters from the start. A page tuner to say the least, I had to know what was going to happen. It made my heart race and made me bite my nails...and I am not a nail biter.
Jared and Banner made me want and want and want that hot ripeness they oozed, that hard to contain sexual chemistry that would not be denied.
And the narration was perfect! Teddy Hamilton and Seraphina Valentine breathed life into this story effortlessly. I loved every word uttered from their mouths.
Thank you Kennedy Ryan for writing this book and getting narrators who did justice to your work. You all get the Gold medal of excellence!!

Fantastic!

Wow! Where can I start with this one? Block Shot is my first read by Kennedy Ryan and I’m blown away. I’m an avid reader and never have I come across such a strong, independent, loving character as Banner! She is female embodiment personified. I love that she’s not a perfect size 2. I love that she is Latina. I love that she has insecurities, but still chooses to live her best life. I love that she is deeply loyal and strong. I love that she is attracted to Jared, her opposite. That being said, I also loved Jared. His love for Banner was all consuming and soul shaking. He loved her for her mind, and her soul and body. While their journey was never easy and their path unsure, ultimately their love brought then back together. Block Shot is emotional and real and raw and I loved every minute of it!

EDIT: After reading this book I listened to the audiobook and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Teddy and Seraphina truly brought the story to life.

Stuck to every word

This was full of emotions but good a good read. I listen to books while I work but I “couldn’t put it down” I had to find out what happened next.

Perfectly imperfect characters

Let me start by saying that I loved the narration! It was a plus to have a Latina character. Loved that the characters were not perfect but in the end you love them for being unapologetically them.
