After the heartbreak of losing their newborn son to a previously undiagnosed genetic condition, Phillip and Anna Lewinsky managed to patch their lives back together and move forward, filling the emptiness with friends, work, and travel.
When Anna unexpectedly finds herself pregnant again at the age of 43, Phillip is thrilled to have a second chance at fatherhood in spite of Anna's objections.
As desires clash, misunderstandings abound, and decisions are irrevocably made, the foundation of their marriage begins to crumble until only tragedy remains.

If you could sum up Blessed Are the Wholly Broken in three words, what would they be?
Compelling Family Drama!Any additional comments?
This was a really good book! I loved the way the author told this story by starting near the end, switching back and forth between the past and present, and including the excitement of a criminal trial. I really felt like I was getting the inside story on what seemed to be an ordinary family's life. The author did a great job with characters and story, and the narrator definitely added to the experience. It was a very good performance, and I would definitely recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, but will now go back and search out other titles by this author for purchase.Riveting!

And I did feel a lump in my throat a couple of times.
Alan Taylor did a good job narrating the story, but it didn't create the "can't stop listening to this book" vibe for me as I just couldn't connect with his style (which, in this book, is kind of detective noir-esque). That is really subjective though, so I'll still recommend you listen to the book. It's worth it :).
Heartbreaking. And loving.
