Fantastic Who-Done-It Mystery

Death of a dysfunctional prominent family reveals the circumstances of the why, who and how it occurred. The storyline was awesome and very well written. Michelle Babb is a narrator I love to listen to her work.

Phenomenal book

Wow! This storyline is creative and intriguing I was on the edge of my seat wondering who was the killer. The twist and turns that are within this plot really got me because I did not see all the angles coming to the forefront. I must admit that the characters in this book are realistic and relatable to everything you read about dysfunctional families. I applaud the author because I did not see that last twist coming. I highly recommend this book for people who love intrigue, drama, murder and mystery. I received this book for free and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review here of my own volition.

The plot thickens

Great story with a twist. Not what it seems and to get away with it.

A New Favorite!

This book has definitely earned a place on my favorites list. A whodunnit with loads of family drama, twists and turns, and the quirks of small town life as well as the weary monotony of living a life "stuck". Murder, greed, grudges, mistrust, and lost time, with so much going on, will the murders actually get solved, or just marked down as a horrific tragedy?

Impressive Storytelling!

This is the first book by Melinda Clayton that I’ve read and I can honestly say I was very impressed. I had a hard time putting it down. The characters were so deep and well developed and I especially enjoyed the first person POV. I usually figure out who committed the crime early on but this one kept me guessing.

Also contributing to heavily to my listening enjoyment was the talented Michelle Babb and her inspired performance. I’ve no idea how she so seamlessly switched between the voices of the characters. Some narrators seem so contrived when going between male and female voices. Michelle makes the transitions sound so natural and conversational.

Summary - great story teller with a narrator that gives life to the characters and puts the listener in the center of the action. I highly recommend this book.

An Awesome Story

This was my first experience with Melinda Clayton's work, and it was entertaining. The story was about one daughter who found the bodies of her murdered mother, father, and sister and another daughter who was accused of the crime. The story was written from alternating points of view between the sisters. The story was convoluted and clever. I will be looking for more stories from this author. Michelle Babb's narration was fine and kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

A Woman Misunderstood

This was a fascinating look into the lives of all the members of a family.When some of them are found dead, one is blamed.Can they find who did it?Lena is blamed and is waiting to hear her fate from the jury.She isn't sure if she did it or not.She was drugged at the time.It is a twisted tale of love and hate.Michelle Babb is good at the narration.I was provided this book free by the author, narrator or publisher.

Watch out for the ending!

A Woman Misunderstood by Melinda Clayton is second in her Tennessee Delta Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although there are some references to prior happenings that may be further clarified by reading the first book of the series, Blessed are the Wholly Broken. Rebecca comes for a visit to her family home and finds her parents and a disabled sister dead...hacked to death. Not surprisingly the black sheep sister of the family, Lena, is accused and soon to be defended by Brian Stone. The author keeps her readers' interest with lots of twists and turns in the plot and good character development. And whoa, I did not see the ending coming! Michelle Babb does a remarkable job of narrating the audiobook, telling the story well and bringing the characters to life. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and was not required to give a positive review. The opinions are my own.

Well worth a listn

Would you consider the audio edition of A Woman Misunderstood to be better than the print version?

For me, the audio version is often better than the print version, and A Woman Misunderstood is no exception. Michelle Babb always does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life, making for a truly enjoyable listen.

What about Michelle Babb’s performance did you like?

I can't say that there's anything about her performance that I DIDN'T like! She's a wonderful narrator that portrays the characters with depth and their own voice.

I enjoyed the book very much, so now I need to listen to the first book in the series!
