Publisher's Summary

Scorned by her family. Banished by her kind. Hunted by zealots.

Where does an exiled Fairy Queen hide?

A remote mountain cabin, the seedy underbelly of a metropolis, or an uninhabited island. All would be good choices, however, after hundreds of years on the run, the daughter of Oberon, King of the Wild Fairies, signs a binding contract with the zealots that hunt her. In exchange, they allow her to settle down in the last place anyone would look for fairy royalty.

Adopting the name Grace Ann Bryant, the Queen buys a double-wide and moves into a trailer park in the one-horse town of Shady Grove, Alabama. Her contract requires her to lend aid to the local sheriff, Dylan Riggs, when supernatural problems arise.

But when two children go missing, the humans point to the trailer park queen helping the sheriff, and the zealots point at the exiled fairy. Grace must decide whether to fight for her innocence or break her contract returning to life on the run.

Bless Your Heart is a southern urban fantasy that will make you laugh, cry, and laugh until you cry, as Grace wrestles with the dark fairy inside herself and starts to see that she’s more than just trailer trash.

A very different take on faes.

I loved this book. The story is different and fresh, and filled with laugh out loud moments.
This was a fun and easy read/listen and the narrator did a fantastic job with all the different voices.
Looking forward to the rest of the books in the series.

Fairies & the deep south, what's not to love?!

It's such an odd and unexpected combination - a Fae queen who lives in a trailer park and speaks with a thick southern drawl? But it just... works, somehow. Such a fun book that will make you question everything you think you know! #AudiobookObsession #AuralFixation

outstanding!

The narrator is perfect. Having already read the book, I knew what was going to happen; however the narrator brings the story to life. Fairy folk, love, loss, family & good old southern life from the food, manners, colloquialisms, & trailer park highjinx are found in every chapter. If you like urban fantasy mixed with fairy tales and comedy this is the book for you. Highly recommend!

WHAT WAS I THINKING

I have seen this book in the past and thought maybe later. What the hell was I thinking. I flove this book sooo much. Grace is amazing I love that she’s not perfect but is able to overcome her faults and face her past and try to overcome it and move forward. This book has secrets, intrigue, and a love story. It is fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your chair. Some books give you too much info and you’ve discovered the twists before the author is ready but Kimbra Swain manages to keep you guessing. Absolutely loved the narration this was so good can’t wait for more.

Enjoyable

Overall I enjoyed the story. The narration was very well done. She moved in between the characters so well but as a result I found the “he said, she said” annoying as I knew who was speaking. I felt like it distracted from the story. If you can get past that it’s a good creative story

No spoilers

This is a first read by this author for me. I liked it. I really thought it would be a bunch of silly things that happens in a trailer park but it wasn't not really yes there were a few kinda parts that maid me smirk and chuckle and yes this book is a UF book and mostly romance. You get that wrapped in a sleuth/mystery. Parts felt rushed and missed opportunity. But over all of wasn't bad. I will try the next book and go from there. The narration did a good job will listen to her again. In fact I'll look for more books done by Syevens voices and slang was done very well.

Bless Your Heart

This series starts off with a case of missing children and the problems just pile up after that. I have never read a book with this kind of twist for faeries before and have to say that I loved the way it is written. The surprises in here are fantastic and the ending leaves us at a happy for now ending. I will definitely be checking out the next book.

Bless Your Heart

My favorite books are usually set in small towns in the south, and this book/series did not disappoint. I was not sure how a Fairy Queen was going to mesh with a trailer park setting, but it makes more and more sense as you go along. I was immediately sucked right into this book and had to keep on going through the whole series. You can to after this first book if you'd like, it doesn't end with any kind of cliff hanger or anything like that. But if you go on to book two then there is no coming out of it till you've read the last one.

The narration by Keira Stevens was very well done. her accenting was perfect, i'm not sure if she has a natural southern accent or not but usually fake southern accent get on my nerves and are way over done, but she was spot on, not over the top.
