So after reading the reviews, I still decided to read this book even though everyone says there’s so many questions to be answered an this is a one and done book, so you’ll be on a permanent cliffhanger. The story was good and narrators amazing, but I wish there was more to have a proper ending.

Loved this book. My only minor criticism is it should have been released a week or two earlier. it would have been an even better read in October for spooky season.

Good, but a little confusing 😂

This book was wild 👀 It started off with Maven returning to town with her daughter to attend her grandmother’s funeral, and her first love Ronan showing back up and pining for her. Her family is shunned by the town because of their witchy ways and have always had a feud with Ronan’s family. But when her grandmother’s body goes missing before her funeral, Maven and Ronan team up to figure out what happened to her grandmother.

The chemistry between Ronan and Maven was intense! He would burn down the world for her and I was all for it! But then some things came to light and their relationship got a little strange 😬 Then a LOT of crazy things started happening and I started getting confused 😂

The last hour of this book was like I was listening to a totally different story! There was so much going on but it was rushed through and I was left thinking, wtf did I just listen to? There was a lot of loose ends that weren’t explained and I needed more. I feel like it needs a sequel, and I would definitely dive back into this eerie world to find out what happens.

The narrators were exceptional! It really brought the story to life, and the banter between Ronan and Maven was so perfectly executed by Connor Crais and Tara Langella 🖤 Their voices fit so well together 🥰

I did enjoy this confusing book and recommend a listen if you want a VERY weird story to dive into. I just hope that maybe there’ll be more to this story later on.

Love JT’s books hope she turns this into a series. Great narrators. Great job as always.

The story was fantastic.

I loved the voice actors they were perfect. Ronan was specifically my favorite his husky deep voice made the hairs on the back of my neck stand at attention. I also enjoyed Maven as well and her daughter Bea was quite good too. The story was super exciting full of twists and turns and lots of surprises. I really like this authors style of writing and will be reading other books in the series. Bravo very well done.👏🫶👍
