Amazing for those in recovery and have SA trauma

As someone who was SA as a child that lead to trauma and years of alcohol addiction, this book is GOLD. I am shy of six years sober and this put so much of my feelings into words that I was able to share with my loved ones. After years of therapy and recovery, there are still things I can’t find the words to express. This book did it. Read it.

very relatable & informative

The book is raw and wonderful, filled with hurt and honesty. this is a definite read for those struggling or feeling allspice because it's relatable (fortunately and unfortunately) for many and offers hope and many streams of assistance!

Very Moving and Deep Story About a True Survivor

This is difficult to listen to in many places because the author was so self destructive in childhood and adolescence. Many painful things occurred. However, her story is one of resilience and beauty. She was surrounded by people who loved and supported her. Her father was a true hero. Her stepmother was kind and loving. Her brothers were protective. And the part of her that didn’t want to run anymore got well, and now she helps others. It is wonderful that the author reads this, but she speaks SOOO fast!

Amazingly written

This book was beautifully articulated. Granted this was a horrible way to grow up. I feel as if many can relate to this in one way or another, myself included. She really makes you think.
