WOW!.....What a crazy ride!!

At first I wasn't sure about this listen, but I'm glad I got it! What a crazy love triangle between brothers and sisters. I did get mad at the female lead at times due to her going from one brother to the other(make up your damn mind already!). The narration was awesome. Well worth the credit.

This story seems at the beginning to be clear cut until..... Secrets and Lies and Love and Money all come to the light. I really enjoyed every minute its a true love story but who should she be true to? This one will leave you in knots either way. I loved it. Narration is excellent.

I gave this one 3 star because I don't want to deduct because of my personal taste. I don't like love triangles at all so this book didn't stand much chance for me but I did finish it and liked the way it ended so I feel like it gets points for that too. I'll be honest though, I listened to this book for book club but I really didn't like any of these characters but I especially didn't like Maverick. She was heartless and only cared about her feelings and what she wanted. I did want to like Kal but in the end I feel like both brothers were equally jerks. I actually don't even care about the cheating but I feel like their was no remorse from any of them for their part in the deceitful triangle they are in, I just hate liars and all of these characters were liars and not just about one thing but about every thing. I personally do not enjoy high drama so this just wasn't a book for me. If you Love drama you'll probably Love this book!

The narration was good. Ava Erickson is brought Maverick to live. Tad Branson isn't a favorite of mine, not because of his work (he's a goo narrator), I just don't enjoy his voice for most young male characters.

*No spoilers here* just enough information to clear all the confusion in the beginning..This is one love triangle I couldn't put down. Maverick has been in love with Killian since she was a teenager. When she becomes of age the two finally consummate their angsty union. Unfortunately, while Maverick is making plans to love Killian for the rest of her life, he's making plans to marry her sister. After finding out this tragic news Maverick is heart broken and looking for answers that Killian won't give. In the beginning I disliked Killian because he didn't want to let Maverick go and yet was unwilling to call off the wedding. His character came off as selfish wanting his cake and all. Kale is Maverick's best friend and Killian's little brother. Kale has loved Maverick his whole life. While Maverick is pining over Killian, Kale is there to soothe the ache & win her heart. This is where the love triangle begins with both Maverick and Killian married to each others siblings. It's frustrating because Kale turns out to be the most lovable husband on the planet while Maverick's still lusting after his brother.

About half way through the book new information starts coming to light. Then there's the dilemma of which brother to root for. I had so many emotions while following along I thought I might be developing BPD 😄. This high drama, panty melting, deceit filled gem is well worth waiting for the bomb shell ending. Packed full of surprises this one had me saying ohh.. I didn't see that coming quite a few times. A stand alone with no cliff hanger... I appreciate a good book were everything wraps up nicely at the end.

Ava and Tad also did an excellent job keeping me mesmerized with their perfect performance. All & all I say, this twisted ride was well worth my credit! K.L Kreig is officially on my watch list. I hope audible makes more of this authors work available soon.

There are not enough words to describe the feelings this book evoked!!
Author KL Kreig takes you on a journey that's so heartbreakingly beautiful.
My chest was tight with anticipation. My heart throbbed with anxious beats. I fell so hard for these characters and was sucked into their world from the very first page.

I felt this story on such an emotional level. I felt for Kael and the love that he harbored for Maverick. The feelings that were not returned but better yet, directed at his one and only brother.

"While he was the sun that lit your world, you were the darkness that shadowed mine"

When he told her that, I broke!!!
Complete ugly cry. This Man. This beautiful man. He was so selfless and pure. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders loving Maverick. And I'll admit, it made me want to hate her. It made me want to smack her in the face and say "Open your Eyes!!"
As she spent her focus looking behind her, Kael offered a life so beautiful that sat right in front of her. But Maverick couldn't stop looking back. Back to the man who broke her. The man who left her without any warning and showed back up married to her sister.

I applaud Author KL Kreig on Black Swan Affair. Even though there were moments I wanted to scream, this story was so passionate and raw.

I listened to this book on Audio.
Narrators Ava Erickson and Tad Branson are amazing!!
Both are at the top of my list of favorite narrators so hearing them tell this story in dual POV was the icing on the cake.
The emotion was dripping from their voices. Such a powerhouse couple to narrate together. LOVED IT!!

A Must buy - Absolutely Awesome

Do not miss out on this book. It has it all. Normally, I absolutely HATE books with past/present back and forth sections (the 6 years ago, 15 years ago, etc. storylines which ends up over powering the book), but this was the exception. This book kept my interest throughout – Funny, romance, hot steamy sex scenes, captivating plot, etc.. The storyline was addicting, all the time rooting for Kale and Maverick. I was very angry with Maverick for even wanting to be with Kilian after he marries her sister, eye roll, it just pissed me off; I mean, who wants to be with a man who slept with their sibling (and a hated sibling at that). Not sure what happened in the end because I had to tell everyone how great this book is, at chapter 12. I was quite surprised this author is new to Audible (while our well known favored authors continue to disappoint with their “experimental projects,” you know, the ones who choose inept narrators and/or attempt something new which ends up falling flat). I’m totally trying to write this review without giving spoilers…….ahhhh, let’s just say you won’t be disappointed in making this your next purchase.

Not For Me

I am NOT a love triangle kind of girl I can’t stand DRAMALAMA, like at all. I went in with an open mind because this is our audiobook club book. Let me tell you I was rooting for NO one by chapter 10.

I think maybe the only character I liked was her best friend Mary Lou she said it like it was.
Kael & Killian well I kind of thought they deserved to be alone after all the secrets and lies were revealed.

Maverick for me was too in her head, she knew what she was doing was wrong and yet she followed through with it. I just don’t understand that.

Overall for me, it wasn’t a book I would ever read again but I did enough the narration.
I know my opinion will not be favored and that’s ok because we all like what we like.

Incredible Read!!!

There are just some books you read and you remember them and think about forever... This is one of THOSE books! I honestly loved Maverick even if she made bad decisions! I understood her pain! Oh, and her friend Mary Lou! She was well written and so funny!! I absolutely hated her snippy sister!! I really pulled for Maverick and Kale because I just could not see her with Killian! But there are so many twists and turns that you just don’t see coming!

Almost 5 stars in every way.

This was a a great story and it would have been a 5 star listen except I just don’t get why the author felt the need to jump back and forth in time. I know that’s not an unusual narrative technique but all it really did here was confuse the timeline of the story. I kept wondering why people where doing things and then I’d realize it was in the past. I’m sure it’s easier to follow these time jumps when reading in print, but the story was unique enough that I don’t think it needed it.
Nonetheless, it was definitely worth a credit. The love triangle kept me guessing till the end. The picture doesn’t really do the story justice— while there are definitely hot scenes, there are as many truly swoon worthy elements as well.
