Another amazing book

I can't complain about any of Becca Fitzpatricks book's! I loved the hush hush series and I loved this book too. Keep them coming!!!

Happily Surprised

I took a chance on this book, and I'm absolutely glad I did. It's such a great story, and it draws you in at each chapter.

Wonderful book

I absolutely adore this book. It's perfectly paced and I had a hard time turning it off.

starts off alittle slow but it'll come together in the end, didn't want to put it down!

Becca is my favorite author.

Becca is an amazing author. I can't wait to get to the next chapter, and yet disappointed when the book is over. The endings are WONDERFUL.

Pretty good story, a few mistakes

It does bother me when glaring errors get all the way through editing, print, and then audio version. The top score on the SAT is 1600, not 2600. You can't strike matchbook matches on a rock.

Besides those issue, the main character is pretty hard to like. I think the author should have reduced the amount of inner dialogue as it makes her seem like an air head.

The other thing that bothers me is the constant flashbacks. The device seldom works to build the story. In this case it just annoys.

Suspenseful, thrilling, unexpected

What was one of the most memorable moments of Black Ice?

I don't want to post spoilers, but close to the end there's a moment in the vacation home where we the readers don't know who's going to survive to the end, and it's just incredible.

What does Jenna Lamia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her voicing of the different characters gave them more life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I listened to it in the car on a long carride and not once did I want to turn it off and turn on the radio.

The subtle love story, the story of growing up, it all made for an excellent standalone novel by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Predictable but fun

I could see the final twist in the first quarter of the book, but it was a fun listen & I liked the performer. If you can suspend belief at the end, it won't bother you either. It's completely illogical but that's ok when your expectations are already that what will come will not be realistic.
