Publisher's summary

His first, last and only true love has always been rugby. Until now. She's damaged. He's determined. Fate brought them together. Love binds them.

Johnny Kavanagh has everything going for him. On the rugby pitch, he's a force to be reckoned with. Primed for stardom, he's heading straight for the top. Nothing can possibly get in his way, right? Not even the shy new girl at Tommen College. The one with the sad eyes and hidden bruises. The one that distracts him like no one ever has.

Plagued with a hidden injury and desperate to impress the scouts watching his every move, Johnny has been placed on a pedestal so high, he has no room to make mistakes. Johnny needs to keep his head in the game. He needs to stay focused and cannot afford to let distractions get in the way of the big picture. But what happens when a lonely girl with sad eyes becomes the only picture?

Two teenagers from opposite sides of the tracks collide in the first audio instalment of Binding 13. Based in Ireland, the Boys of Tommen series is bound to captivate and lure you into the world of rugby, love and teenage heartbreak.

Book 1 in the boys of Tommen series. A New adult (YA) romance Emotional and heartfelt long listen/read

This was my first Chole Walsh book. I quickly fell in love. I was hooked quickly and have listened to all the books in the series so far. A beautiful slow burn love story for mature older teens and adults. Due to serious subject matters and strong language content. Opposites attract. Star rugby player falls for poor innocent girl. Their journey to love is complicated but beautiful. Filled with ups and downs, set in Ireland.

Everyone needs to read/listen to this series

This series is and forever will be apart of me for the rest of my life. It is so emotionally gripping and you just fall head over heels in love with the characters (while also despising others). The narration was done beautifully and I can’t wait to listen to the next one.

Amazing!

First off I wanted to say. I did not like reading it physically, somehow I got bored. But I gave audible a chance and I LOVED every single thing about it. I love the story. The narrator’s were amazing and put in so much emotion while reading it out loud. I loved it. Can’t wait to read the second part…well listen to it! 🙂

Mathews voice really made this book entralling!

This was the perfect voice pairing. I loved every second of the book. I binged both parts of the book, hanging off every rumbly word Mathew said. Jacs voice was perfect for the timid Shannon. I can't even pick a favorite clip because I loved every sentence spoken. I honestly will be relistening to both parts while I await hopefully for the second book to be put to audio.

This book healed something in me that I didn't even know was broken.

I am a childless 51 year old woman. I listened to Binding 13 because I saw it recommended and even though it's YA, the story appealed to me.

I brought up the childless bit because it's kind of relevant as to why I rated this so high. One of the things that are missed by not having a child is missing all all the firsts. And one of those firsts is their first romance, first love. In the weirdest, but most healing way, I felt like Johnny was my son and listening to this book was like watching my child experience their first love. I laughed at the shenanigans that these kids got up to, especially Gipsy and Johnny. Listening to Johnny grapple with his feelings for Shannon, his overwhelming need to protect her, was so heartwarming. And I LOVED the narrator for Johnny. I think he did a phenomenal job.

For me, the main character is Johnny. But I grew up like Shannon, in a similar household. So that might be why I held back from her. Because everything she felt and experienced, I had gone through myself.

I don't know how to describe this book. But it is absolutely worth reading, no matter how old you are.

Read over and over

I love this story so much. This is my 5th time reading it. You really get immersed in the characters and you care so much about them. I have both laughed out loud and cried like a baby. Gibsy is a crack up. I read the actual books and listened to the audiobook and the audiobook readers truly bring the characters to life. They did a great job.

Long but worth it

Binding 13 left me with so many emotions, I was not ready for everything these characters dealt with. I kept stalling to read it because of how long it is and I regret waiting so long. So much emotion, angst, and sadness. OMG the cliffhanger!!!!! Thank god there is a part 2. Chloe Walsh is a new author to me and so far she has not disappointed. I have to know what happens next for these characters. Definitely recommend this book if you can handle the trigger warnings that come with it.
