A very nice collection...

Some I have heard before, others this was my 1st time. Nice collection of short stories, bot short on story. "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

The stories were ok but need more definition of characters. Narrator was ok for women voices but need more on the men voice. Need to be more sexy.

Listening to all of these stories at once, had a sameness too them.

After the 5th story, you knew where it was going. However, they did all have the love thing in common and all the men must have been related.

The narration was good.. I've listened to quite a few of Lissa Blackwells audios and enjoy them.

There were times in the audio where some sentences were repeated in error.

I overall enjoyed this collection. They were short and sweet.The stories in this collection were easy to follow but they were predictable. The narration was also enjoyable but a few times it just felt too much as if it were being read to me.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The listen was ok time well-spent. They were quick and were ones that I could listen too and not get lost in the mix between pauses and stories.

If you’ve listened to books by Simone Carter before, how does this one compare?

This is the first time ever I have listen and met any of Simone Carter's books. I look forward to checking out more of this author's works.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Surprisingly, although the billionaire romances were fast connections the pace worked in its favor.

This 5 book collection entails different stories of billionaires falling in love with someone they least expected and/or at a time where the timing was not in the cards. The stories were a mixed feelings of my liking. Whether it was instalove, farfetched, second chances, or random each of the characters brought out something unique to their own story.

A Great Set of Short Stories

This is a set of five billionaire romance stories. I enjoyed each one. Here's my thoughts on each book:

Forbidden Lust
Let me say first that I am a major Simone Carter fan. I love her stories. With that said, this one is not one of her finest. It comes across as disjointed and rushed. I would have liked to have heard more about Jay. It was difficult to see him as a mafia boss with the little information we get about him. Another reviewer commented on Sara's comment about her skin tone being dark but if Jay is as pale as she says then pretty much any skin color would seem dark by comparison, not necessarily inter-racial. The narration could have been a bit better. I usually have no complaints with Lissa Blackwell's narrating talents but I didn't really care for the voice she gave Jay. He came across as being, well, not a mob boss. Anyway, if you haven't listened to any other of Simone Carter's books then this isn't the best one to start with. She has so many others that are better. The same goes with Lissa Blackwell's narration ability.

Fleeting Love
This is a wonderful short story. Although I went back and forth about liking and not liking Rain. For the most part I was neutral about her until she becomes the typical female...jumping to conclusions instead of demanding clarification. However, she does redeem herself towards the end. Luke I love. He has quite a few layers to him that I enjoyed learning about. Loved the ending, a really nice surprise. If you want more then you'll have to get this book to find out. The narration by Lissa Blackwell was well done, loved her English accent. She gave the characters their own voices and emotions and really helped the story come to life.

Mine, Always
This is a second chance romance short story and it's a wonderful listen. I love how Maria stands by Dwayne through it all. Dwayne has his bitter moments, which he's entitled to have, but he doesn't let it bog him down. Well, actually, Maria doesn't allow him to stay in those moments. I loved the journey they took to find their HEA. This is a short story that is fully written and an entertaining way to pass an hour and a half. The narration was well done. Lissa Blackwell really brings the story to life.

Bobbi and the Billionaire
This is a wonderful short story to listen to. It has plenty of well written steam, action, humor and romance. You'll find yourself chuckling, rolling your eyes, cheering and loving the characters...well, except for Carl that is. Anyway, I love Simone Carter's works and this one doesn't disappoint. This is a very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. The narration was very well done. I've come to look for Lissa Blackwell as narrator. She does excellent work giving characters their own voices, emotions and bringing their personalities to light. She really brings the story and characters to life. The complaint I have with her narration were the two times that she repeated herself. But it didn't stop me from listening in any way. All in all, a great story written by an awesome author and a very enjoyable listen by a terrific narrator! Check it out!!

The Billionaire & the Babysitter
This was a great short story to listen to. I love Simone Carter's writings and this one doesn't disappoint. As her usual, the story is well written and the characters are nicely developed. Where this one is longer than a lot of her works, it's as well written as they are. The ending surprised me and Jake and Jenna get their HEA. I really liked it that there was instant chemistry but not insta-love. Jake is a playboy and Jenna is a good girl who becomes a nanny while taking a break from University. Their adventure is full of steam, mystery, suspense and romance. I really enjoyed Lissa Blackwell's narration. My only complaint would be her voices for the children but not enough to take a star away. Anyway, another great duet ladies!!

Okay set

BOOK REVIEW........
This 5 book set was mostly okay. Though I didn't much like the 4th book. I just could not connect with Bobby and Sam. I also did find the sex a bit much. But over all It was a nice set

NARRATOR REVIEW......
I was not really a big fan of the narrator. I thought she sounded to peppy, bouncy and young. It got a bit annoying at times so I took longer to listen to it then it normally takes me. I kept putting it down and reading other books in between.

Out of the five books I had heard one already and didn't mind one bit hearing it again! The last story was probably my favorite.
