Publisher's summary

In a tourist town on Lake Michigan, Athena Spencer keeps busy raising a son (and a pet raccoon named Oscar) while working at her family's garden center. But sometimes, she also has to get the dirt on a murderer, in the new series by the New York Times best-selling author of the Flower Shop Mysteries....

Athena has invited Case Donnelly, recently relocated from Pittsburgh and awaiting his PI license, to accompany her to a Save Our Dunes fundraiser and art festival. And her date proves helpful when the body of a disgraced photographer turns up during a nature walk.

The crime - and the photos taken by the dead man - raise a lot of questions about local politics, environmental battles, and the victim's womanizing ways. As Athena's endearing Greek American family strives to solve a mystery of their own (uncovering the identity of Athena's anonymous blog), she and Case try to find the tangled roots of this murder and make sure there's no sanctuary for a killer....

What A Fun Read

The Goddess of Greene St. aka Athena Spencer is back with another baffling mystery or two. Chase is so close to getting his PI license, but Athena persuades him to help her with another murder investigation. Once again, a landmark property is at risk of being developed by an unscrupulous businessman. He just needs enough votes from the town council to do so. Fortunately for him, the photographer who can reveal the skulduggery is killed. One of Athena's friends begs for her help to clear her councilman husband who is accused of the murder. Unfortunately for Athena and Chase, no one, not even their client, is telling the truth. So, amid Delphi's relationship issues, Niko's concerns about his friend, and a few partnership squabbles, things are a little rough. Fortunately for the reader, it all makes for a very entertaining read.

Cute, fun read

I really enjoy this series. I have always loved the Greek culture, so it's been nice to find so many little tidbits throughout the book. The family is exact what you'd expect from a large Greek family. The characters are lovable and interesting.
