Publisher's Summary

Merrill Frederick Unger (1909-1980) was a Bible commentator, scholar, archaeologist, and theologian. Perhaps best known for his classic study and reference volume Unger's Bible Handbook, he served in the ministry and taught at Gordon Divinity School and Dallas Theological Seminary. Recognized as one of the 20th century's most important evangelical scholars of the Bible, Unger provides a study of the invisible spiritual forces behind the scenes of contemporary history that is scholarly yet accessible to Christians. His work Biblical Demonology (1945) systematically explores the scriptural teaching on demonic forces, including a range of paranormal topics such as augury, divination, necromancy, and magic.

Great author 😇

The book was enlightening to witchcraft, satanism and other evil deeds like evil people. Gas lighting, sociopaths, borderline personality disorder, antisocial and hysterics--type b disturbed personality disorders use witchcraft. This book helps combat these deeds they want to inflict. God is stronger and Jesus already won for us😇🙏

Probably not the book for trustworthy information

Been looking for accurate and trustworthy information on demonology, figured I'd overlook the pompous writing style and may be able to get some accurate information from different Judeo Christian sources. Then it started telling the myth of an angel name Lucifer leading a rebellion and being kick out of heaven to become satan and i decided to pass, because if the author doesn't even realize that that is an unbiblical myth created later in the life of the church then his research and everything else he says comes into question. If you're looking for researched and trustworthy information on the subject I'd probably give this book a pass, because some information may be accurate but like i said telling the Lucifer myth like it's biblical fact calls everything else into question.

Solid, Biblical, Truth

This book should be required reading for anyone in ministry. A classic literary addition to any library for both reference and solid hermeneutics. Everyone in the ministry of deliverance and healing would do well to digest this book.

Not an easy read... nearly every single fact is referenced by a series of supporting scriptures and context to follow.
