Publisher's Summary

Psychiatrist Dr. Tonya Preston lives a life of cool detachment, often sacrificing her personal needs to appease her opinionated father. She often finds it easier to deal with patients than confront her family or her own issues. When her path dramatically crosses that of irrepressible rookie Police Officer Haley Jordan, she's thrown out of her comfort zone.

Things have come easy for Haley, who has a drama-free life filled with love and friends that Tonya finds as alluring as the irreverent woman behind the badge. An attraction simmers between them, drawing them to each other. But will it be enough when work, family, and a confronting police case starts to tear at their fledgling relationship?

Contains mature themes.

Very Good Continuation of Series

OK I liked this book a lot, but I enjoyed book #1 from this series more. I'd rate this more an overall 4.5. The sounds silly but I was disappointed that Abby Craden had to use her talents for a main character from Mississippi. I'm not trying to insult anyone from deep South, but that is not a good accent. I love Abby Craden and I love the voice she gives to her less feminine characters... In this book that character happened to be from Mississippi so she did not get to do the voice that I am in love with and instead I had to hear someone from Mississippi which was the opposite of a turn on.

For a 3rd book this one was a little weak

I liked this series of books so far, they were excellent, but this one was a little flat, it was not as well written as the former ones, I didn’t relate to the characters. Abby Craden as usual was very good but I think she as well was a little bored with this book. I hope the next one that is coming out soon will be better.

Great series

I love this series and can’t wait for the next one. Abby Craden is a great choice as narrator. This story in the series is relatable and the relationship between Tonya and Hailey is steamy! Bring on the next Cops and Docs book...
