He is joined on his adventure by an unlikely trio of companions: a riddle whose answer will take Miles's life in an unexpected direction, a moth-eaten strip of Kente cloth, and a mysterious neighborhood shopkeeper.

Between Fathers and Sons is a book the whole family will turn to again and again for its message that the strength, wisdom, and love that reside within African-American communities are ever present when we learn how to find them in ourselves.
