Still fun, even with Matti's hang-up's.

I was saddened to find that even now Matti still didn't trust Slehvyra, the Hot Elven assassin who promised to help her find her mother. A mother she believed to have died some 30 years ago.
And all I wanted was for the relationship to be standing on much firmer ground! But unfortunately that wasn't to be. And the plans to find her mama goes all ascue when someone put a bounty out on the hammer she'd inherited from her dwarven mother. Slehvyra jumped right in to help, but still with trust issues Matti's suspicious of his motivations... Sure she heard his reasons but couldn't quite wrap her head around what he said, because he still might be lying...

I love the narrator and storyline. I find each book exciting and feel like I'm there at each twist.

Another great book!

I’d originally planned on taking the listening to this book slow, but ended up finishing it in one day. The mystery of Maddie’s mothers ‘death’ continues to haunt our heroine and take her though another adventure. (Don’t want to spoil anything but if you’ve liked any of Buroker’s books, this series is a MUST!) I’m waiting at the edge of my seat for the next book and hope we get so see more of the world Buroker’s crafted!

Good one

Fast paced. Matti and Thorvaldsen work together a lot and there is some dragons kicking ass. Overall a fun book.

Each book is a delight

Wonderful continuation to the building story. An urban fantasy at its best. Lindsay creates such great characters.

Plot thickens

Another fun read with a lot of funny internal and external dialogue. Great reader, same as in Death before Dragons so the characters maintain their same voice

Another fix for my addiction

I just like LB's writing. The snark and smart-ass comments especially. Look. I ain't no super literary genius. I just like stories that make me feel good and keep me entertained. And Lindsey does that for me. Yeah, I like some of her books more than others but I've never listened to one that wasn't entertaining. And sure, I wish she would use magazine instead of clip but if that's the only thing that bugs me, I'm doing pretty dang good.

I've heard Vivienne Lehney's voice so much that I think I'd recognize it in public. I've put down some books because even though the story was good, the narrator drove me nuts. I would get to the point that I would listen for mistakes ir miscues. Vivienne's voice is soothing to me and she keeps me interested. Thank you.
