Good book to read

I enjoyed it. If you enjoyed the other series Death before Dragons and Legacy of Magic by Lindsay Buroker, you might like this as well.

Another hit

This is another hit from the author. Story of a half black elf and a half dragon. The story line is place just inside the other of the author stories this make the entire dragon universe connect. I am ready for another book after finishing this one.

Lindsay & Vivienne are the best at what they do

I loved the story and can't wait to get started on Bound by Blood. I highly recommend any of Lindsay's books!

A bit slow but ok

Marked by magic a tad slow although a tad slow at the start of the story it picked up towards the end and left me wondering whether Book 2 available
Certainly not riveting but enjoyable enough to hold attention to the end

Well thought out Urban Fantasy

Narration was very good, character's voices and dialects fit. I look forward to listening to more from, Vivienne Leheny.
I have many of Lindsay Buroker's Kindle and Audible stories. She is a most competent writer. Book 2 when released will also grace both libraries.
So five stars on all levels.

Another good read from Lindsay Buroker

This is another tie in series in what I like to call the cosmic realmverse, taking place in the same realm that the legacy of magic and death by dragon series took place in. I wish the summary would mention this as it would make more people read it. In book, we follow the life of Arwen forester, a mongrul dark elf. I like the how Lindsay portrays the anxiety of Arwen due to her history and I like how the struggle of being a part dark elf causes mistrust from others.

Arwens character is just at the beginning and not very strong and didn’t already come with her legendary weapon and royal heritage. I like that Arwen isn’t like Val or Mattie and seems to have gotten the short end of the stick by being born half elf. I hope her character development ends with her being more confident, being a capable warrior that can be any half orc who needs a better understanding of personal space, not being ashamed of her dark elven heritage and knowing that she is an amazing human being ready to put a arrow in anyone who says different.

I hope for the last 2 finishing books of this series that we get to see more of the demons and more world building on the religion that the dark elves worship. I love the lore that Lindsay writes for her worlds. I also hope that we see Arwen learn to use her dark magic and do things that other races can’t but for the good of the cosmic realms.

Also I REALLY hope Lindsay brings back the half dragon half dark elf from the legacy of magic series and have her play a crucial role in the series and even mentor Arwen(or glare at her for stealing star blade’s affection.)

Overall, I am eager to see some progress in Lindsay’s writing. This book was decent and I’m holding my breath but you can really see the differences of the death by dragon series and the legacy of magic series. The latter just had better writing and much better world building. I hope she raises the roof with this series as well, far too many writers get stagnant.

Great story telling as usual gets you into the story where you just can’t stop

Love this authors work. Every book/series i've listened to has been fantastic and well written. I recommend you listen Leheny does a fantatic job. Cant wait for more wish i had the next book now.
