This book is fantastic. Taryn does an amazing job telling the story of Big Brother they’re his own perspective and experience watching the show.

Thank you for describing my addiction to games

If you want something that clearly defines why big brother is a beautiful mess this is for you. If every summer you change your routine to watch a bright sound stage where players wear sunglasses indoors due to the lights this is for you.

Taran does such a great job of showing the evolution of the game and eras that have happened. He explains casting, internet spaces and players that all come together for a game that is truly lovely in its simplicity and deeply satisfying.

Taran captures all the epic moments

I watched every season of Big Brother as a casual viewer until I found Taran’s daily updates. I now am more interested in Taran’s insights more than the edited version as seen on tv. I better understand that ‘reality’ tv is not all that real. We cannot hide our worst characteristics and be real. Great job summarizing a complicated ‘game’ show!

A whole new appreciation for Big Brother

Full disclosure-Im a Big Brother superfan. I watch the live feeds, the network shows and tune into Taran's update podcast every morning.
So many walks down memory lane, reliving the Dr Will moments, Kaysar, and many others. i love these behind the scene details that I didnt know. hearing about the struggle of season one and the lessons learned after season two. (i.e. no knives, limited alcohol)
Taran's voice is warm and while giving us different emotions it isnt so animated as to distract.
If you arent already a Big Brother fan you might be after this book.

Nothing better than Taran talking abt BB

Got my signed physical copy a few days ago but so happy that I waited for the audio to listen. Love having a consolidated full overview of all of Tarans thoughts on BB. I am a huge fan of his podcast and Patreon and have been eagerly awaiting this since it was announced in the preseason!

Taran IS Big Brother!

Every summer I count down the days for my favorite show. I love the game, strategy, drama, silliness and sometimes the underdog becomes the hero. There are houseguests I love and those I love to hate. I watch the show and feeds. The past couple of years I found RHAP and listened to what I missed or got another perspective. This past summer, I found RHAP was more than a podcast but I could watch Taran Armstrong give his recap of the feeds with enthusiasm and spot on impersonations. I could not wait to watch every single day! Taran announced he wrote a book and I couldn’t wait! Not only did I want to read the book, I wanted to listen to it as well. It’s fantastic. It was great going behind the mirror with him. This should be a mandatory read for all future players. I hope the casuals (those that just watch the tv show) read as well. There is SO MUCH more to this game/show than what the edits show. Great job!!

The passion and knowledge of the game is beyond measure

I love this book! So much information and insight. It’s not a how to book, but it is sometime a how did … blank….. do it. The how did we get from the unrecognizable season one game, to the game it is today. The subtle and not so subtle changes along the way. I loved getting a glimpse of the adolescent Taran falling in love with this game, and sharing some of his same feelings along the way even though I was an adult when the game started, and I now have the pleasure of watching with my grandchildren and seeing them fall in love with this strange game too!! I know they will enjoy this book too! Thank you Taran for sharing your passion with us, and to Ron Cesternino for recognizing his talent and giving him the vehicle to share his passion and knowledge with us!
