About the Creators and Performers

Matthew and Michael Youlden, aka the Superpolyglotbros, are ginger-bearded identical twins hailing from England with a passion for all things languages. Linguistics have shaped their entire lives, from their attempt to learn Spanish at the grand old age of eight, armed solely with a phrasebook and mini-dictionary, to majoring in linguistics and translation studies at college to working as instructors, language consultants, and e-learning experts. The brothers have more than 10 years of professional experience in the language industry, handling a wide range of tasks, including translation, interpreting, second language instruction, accent coaching, subtitling films, providing bilingual education for pre-schoolers, and delivering linguistics seminars. Their linguistic abilities feature extensively in international media, with the twins making regular appearances on TV, radio, and social media. They currently speak more than 20 different languages and the list is constantly growing. Drawing on their own methods of learning together and a wealth of experience at all levels of teaching, the twins strongly believe that anyone, with the right tools and a healthy dose of fun, can learn a new language.

The program was the key to me understanding the other programs I have tried. I have used Duolingo and this has really helped make that a better experience. Download the worksheets from the link on audible and it makes it even more powerful.

Honestly best beginner program I have found

I really enjoyed this book because one of my biggest struggles with learning Spanish always felt like the auditory/conversation portion of it. I listened to this audiobook every time I got in the car and slowly hearing and recognizing Spanish words became easier. I didn’t become an expert from this book, and I’m still not remotely fluent, but I feel a sense of ease towards Spanish conversation that I didn’t feel before.
The narration is perfect too. One of the best I’ve heard for an audiobook yet.

Getting Comfortable Hearing Spanish

I have tried different Spanish tapes and books over the years, but this program by the Superpolyglotbros is by far the most fun and entertaining. Each chapter is divided into just enough vocabulary, dialog, pronunciation and grammar to digest in one sitting. I emailed the company asking for help in finding the worksheets, and received an immediate response. In case are you are as technically challenged as I am, the sheets can be found by clicking the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the app on your phone. Buena Suerte!
