Entertaining

Seemed more like a book to my kids and grandkids. Lots of fatherly thoughts. Too bad he is so scarred to die. I guess it will be a nice surprise when he does and meets his savior.

An entertaining, reflective journey through life

I'm sure that William Shatner only captured a small portion of his journey in this book, but nevertheless this book is fun, insightful and introspective. A perfect book for William Shatner and Star Trek fans. I also think it would be interesting for people in the last 3rd of their lives. Don't let life pass you by, one should Boldly Go!

A very interesting book by on of my favorite and talented actors and story tellers.

The Philosophy of a Long and Full Life

A Star Trek fan from the beginning, this was my first time listening to any of William Shatner's albums. I loved it. In a heartfelt memoir of his life, Bill Shatner focuses on the positive, what amazing he has done, what joys his experiences have brought him and the lessons that these experiences have taught him. Although a few things he talks about are a bit much, overall, this is a fascinating life story. Listening to his melodious voice tell his story is absolutely lovely.

Not a classic but …

There isn’t anything I’d call deep or incredibly profound but it was interesting enough to keep me listening to the end.

Fantastic food for the soul

Beautiful insights into one person's thirst for knowledge and a discovery of the meaning of life, which all of us could certainly learn from. Delivered as a tapestry woven of thoughtfulness and drama as only William Shatner could do. Highly recommend.

The best Shatner book yet!!!

This book has it all - stories of family, profession, and the wonder of nature and the earth.

It is inspiring, and I will read it again.

Unexpectedly Wonderful

Although I loved the original Star Trek but in recent years, it seems that Shatner has become an arrogant, foul mouthed man who is full of himself and so I'm not sure why I downloaded this book. But I am so glad I did....... what a wonderful surprise! He talks about his failures, fears and vulnerabilities as well as his successes. It was a gift of hope for me as I listened to every word. He reads it but it does not sound like a reading at all, but more like he's sitting in your living room telling you about his deepest thoughts.

Entertaining and Deep!

William Shatner knows how to entertain! He’s also a person of depth and passion. He delivers a message in this book that will stay with you. He has the wisdom of a reflective man in his 90s who has lived an action packed life. And he has the voice and vitality of someone in his 30s. I am amazed by the book and the man. Five stars!
