Good, but not my favorite
I really love this series. I think it’s voiced really well. Although this one so far is my least favorite. I was kinda disappointed that the voices to each character was changed in this book compared to the first two, especially Spiders voice. But I’m still looking forward to the next one!!

A different Lena
I have read the reviews here, on Amazon, and on GoodReads. I was quite concerned about this book but Lena and Lucian came through at the end.
I do think many readers equated Lena's insertions about how she lost everything to whining. I disagree, she's dealing with her tragedy. One way to do that is to not let people reduce the enormity of her sacrifice. However, the narration overshadowed this and made her sound pretty whiny.
This book was the building block to the last book (the author states) of the series. There was lots of movement and placement and new faces, new enemies, and new alliances.
I was under the impression this was actually the last book but I was wrong. There will be a 4th book being released in Spring 2021. Will definitely purchase it.
Worth the 4 credits. Excellent author.

Awesome installment
Amazing writing, but the character by the name Cynthia really needs to flipping stop talking about “nails” in the middle of a battle. Magdalena is more gritty than her in an awesome way. Sorry to Cynthia, but Lena pawns her in originality/true grit.
