This book is a delight to the soul!

It is touching and uplifting! I love the phrase, “ The Lord, will fight for you, you need only to be still.” Another phrase I loved was, “When we suffer, we are carved .” In listening to this story, my perspective has now changed in overcoming challenges in my own life! It also spoke to my heart, and healed me from within as I too, had a distant relationship with my father. This book reminds me that it is in the hope of Him, that keeps us afloat! A Necessary Read

This book is a must have for every
believer, every sufferer, and every care giver. Excellent narration by the author lends insight and authenticity to every word. This book would be a great counseling tool or book for a small group study.

Poignant and filled with encouragement for journeys through hardship

Darci leads her readers through her journey of life with chronic pain with refreshing honesty. She doesn’t gloss over her struggles with clichés and Scripture verses. She is raw and honest. She tells her audience about the tears and depression and hopelessness she felt. Then, from the depths her her despair, she falls back into the arms of Jesus and allows Him to transformed her physical, emotional, and spiritual pain into beauty, even though the “thorns” remain. I appreciated Mark’s insight as a caregiver, a perspective all too often neglected. We all have our “thorns”, but Darci compels us to see that we also have a God who loves us beyond our understanding working through our pain to create something even more beautiful beyond them.

Hope through pain and suffering

There is something absolutely special about listening to a book being read aloud by its author. I have read Beauty Beyond the Thorns by Darci Steiner, and I enjoyed it very much.
