Single Dad Romance with the Cutest Son Ever!

Laura Pavlov is my new favorite author! This is the fourth book I’ve read by her and I’ve loved every single one.

Emerson is the new pediatrician in town. She has come to Magnolia Falls to get away after her broken engagement. When showing up for his son’s appointment, Nash is surprised to learn that Doc Dolby, the town’s original pediatrician, is retiring and Emerson will be taking over. She also is his new neighbor. Nash is not pleased at first, but decides to give her chance and be neighborly. Nash’s son, Cutler (Beefcake), immediately loves Emerson and is happy that she is next door. There is an attraction between Nash and Emerson, but neither is looking for a relationship. Emerson doesn’t plan to stay in Magnolia Falls for good. But the more time she spends with Nash and Cutler, the more she feels at home. Nash doesn’t do relationships because Cutler is his priority, but watching Emerson with his son makes him feel like she’s the one.

I loved all of them! Beefcake is the most adorable kid ever. Nash and Beefcake have such a cute and wholesome father/son relationship. I loved the bond that formed between Emerson and Beefcake. Emerson became the mom he never had. I loved that Nash and Emerson were able to give into love again with each other. The friend group is always so supportive of each other and it makes me want to be apart of their little family they’ve built. I can’t wait to read grumpy Hayes story!

Also Savannah and Teddy did an amazing job with the narration! They really brought the characters to life!

Found Family…

Beating Heart is book four in the Magnolia Falls Series. It is a small town, single dad/pediatrician, dislike to lovers romance. This is Nash and Emerson's story and of course his son Cutler (beefcake). This is a light read that is enjoyable and addictive. You get found family, great friends, drama and low angst with all the feels. They have a great connection and chemistry. I can't wait for the next book.

Samantha Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton did a great job bringing this story and these characters to life.

• Thoughts:
Well, this series is four for five!! I have loved each and every single one of these books in Magnolia Falls. Nash is absolutely no exception! He was the perfect mix of a swoony single dad, dirty talker, friend, and protective hero. Emerson is fun, down to earth. She is realistic and 100 percent relatable. Then there is beef cake. My hell, I LOVE that kid with his swagger style and the love he has for his girls. I was enamored with this book from the epilogue from Forbidden King! I knew this story was going to take root and still my whole heart! I keep thinking there is no way Laura can outdo the current book I am reading, but she does. Each book is incredible. I love the found family element, the closeness that comes with this friendship. It's just remarkable, and the love They not only have for one another but Nash's little guy. Nash and Emerson are just perfect for each other they are in sync with one another and how they parent beef cake. It's effortless, and they are a unit!!

•Narrator Thoughts:
This was narrated dual style with Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood. Ugh, I am in love. These two killed it!!! But they always do! They brought these characters their depth, sarcasm, and elevated them that keeps you totally invested in the story. So, pretty much perfection. That's what happens when amazing writing meets amazing narrators.
