Publisher's Summary

Welcome to The Citadel.

Kit never planned to attend The Citadel, an exclusive academy her parents sent her to. To make matters worse, she finds out there are a lot of rules, and she plans to break them all to get kicked out. Problem is, the headmaster has no intention of letting her go because there’s a reason she’s been invited.

The Citadel is a school unlike any other, and Kit soon realizes there’s a new whole world inside its walls. A world made of shifters, and she is supposed to be one of them. What the hell?

Weirdness takes over her life as she meets all kinds of monsters and beasts she never thought existed. But something even more dangerous lurks behind the doors of the school. A danger that could destroy them all.

With the help of a hard-partying jock vampire, a werewolf student activist, and a tech-savvy artist angel, Kit will break even more rules in the attempt to solve this mystery. But what if the three of them fall in love with her in the process?

Beastly is a young adult reverse harem filled with mystery, magic, and friendship. For lovers of urban fantasy and paranormal romance academy books comes a new story full of vampires, werewolves, and angels.

Beastly Academy

I enjoyed listening to this book. I liked that vampires, angels, and demons are also considered shifters, any person that changes their form. Kit was sent to The Citadel by her parents. She had no clue about shifters of any kind, let alone she would be one. This had a nice slow introduction to reverse harem. Kit is attracted to three different guys. This book has a little mystery, adventure and the start of romance. Can't wait to see where Kit and her boys relationships lead.

This story was Beastly indeed!

When Kit arrives at her college, she is baffled by some weird details that test the limits of her sanity. But, although she always lived a normal life within a normal world, she soon has to accept that there is another side to the world. The other side of “The Bargain”. A law between humans and supernaturals, made long ago, that the supernaturals will stay hidden and in return no human will hunt supernaturals. Of course, these days, The Bargain is not known amongst the human population because the supernaturals have stayed hidden all that time so the the danger of the hunting part may be eaten by time but that will only last as long as the supernaturals remain hidden (and thus people won’t panic).

So now, ordinary Kit finds herself on the side of supernaturals, enrolled in The Citadel, an Academy for shifters of all kinds. Isn’t that the biggest mistake ever!

Or is it? What exactly is her place amongst all these shifters?

But when classmates start loosing control over their shifter side, Kit proves herself quite the asset in The Citadel. After meeting Jimmy, a werewolf and an activist, they theorize that just maybe the pollution of the lake has something to do with the students loosing control.

After a certain incident it is clear to Kit she has to toughen up. Get in shape, if she wants to get out of this on top. Luckily she knows the perfect guy for the job. And even more lucky, she also has the perfect guy to relax with outside of the gym too.

But when puch comes to shove she will need the three of them to help save herself and the school too while she’s at it.

This first book is light on the RH part, I’d say, not that I’m an expert but that’s my assessment.

So anyways, I quite love the story and it’s characters and now I’m curious to book 2!

Promising start

3.5 stars—

Kit, the female main character in this book attends a school that she has no interest in being accepted. Upon her arrival she finds out that there are vampires, werewolves, and angels there.
Somehow she doesn’t freak out or runs away from it she just accepts it which to me is weird behavior since this is her first time seeing all of this and she just accepts it.
The MC seemed like she just accepted things and went with it. I need more from a character than just taking things in stride. While the story is enjoyable and has great promise I can only hope that the character grows in the next book.
I listened to the audiobook and I feel like the narrator did a great job of trying to bring the character alive. She did fabulous portraying the other minor characters as well. 5 stars for the narrator.

Beastly: The Citadel Semester 1

Great YA shifter story about a girl sent to a shifter academy. Kit thought she didn’t belong until one night changed it all. Follow Kit on a mission to find out what is happening to her fellow students. Can’t wait to see what blossoms with her relationships with Deangelo, Jimmy and Chuck. Ready for book 2.

Supernatural RH

Kit has a lot to learn much of it stuff she didn’t think or know she had to. She gets a rather large surprise at the citadel when she has thought she was human all her life and just wants to go back to that normal life. She slowly makes friends and learns what she is and what she can do. Something is forcing shifters to shift and go violent and her and the guys she likes are going to have figure out what is causing it why this is happening and how to stop it. I enjoyed each of the characters and how they interacted. This book was so much fun to listen to and I can’t wait to find out what is next especially with the book she gets at the end. I have a feeling there’s a lot more to this world and what’s out there than we know. I am excited to see how Kit and her guy’s handle it all. A vampire, an angel, and a wolf what could go wrong? Add in the panther and you’ve got a recipe for fun and trouble. and they make an unstoppable force as they continue to learn more and Kit uses what she learns to her advantage. The narrator did a great job with the different voices.

Shifters University of love

Excellent description of the citadel allows you to be there with the characters. Delightful characters and interesting mystery keeps you entertained the entire time. The narrator did an excellent job of voicing each character. I enjoyed the interactions between the main character and the miriad of young men who all are attracted to her. The story ends with just enough to bring you back for more without a frustrating cliffhanger. Highly recommend for older teens due to the nature of some of the content and the language.

A shifter academy

This shifter academy series is different then any I have personally read/listened to. They have more creatures to turn into, even a vampire! It’s a light listen with a nice small adventure and mystery put in!

Intriguing Plot

Narration was pleasant to listen to and pulled you into the story.

It could of been a longer book as some parts were rushed but the plot and the characters worked well and you soon found yourself wanting to know what she was up to.
