Publisher's summary

Welcome to The Citadel.

Kit never planned to attend The Citadel, an exclusive academy her parents sent her to. To make matters worse, she finds out there are a lot of rules, and she plans to break them all to get kicked out. Problem is, the headmaster has no intention of letting her go because there’s a reason she’s been invited.

The Citadel is a school unlike any other, and Kit soon realizes there’s a new whole world inside its walls. A world made of shifters, and she is supposed to be one of them. What the hell?

Weirdness takes over her life as she meets all kinds of monsters and beasts she never thought existed. But something even more dangerous lurks behind the doors of the school. A danger that could destroy them all.

With the help of a hard-partying jock vampire, a werewolf student activist, and a tech-savvy artist angel, Kit will break even more rules in the attempt to solve this mystery. But what if the three of them fall in love with her in the process?

Beastly is a young adult reverse harem filled with mystery, magic, and friendship. For lovers of urban fantasy and paranormal romance academy books comes a new story full of vampires, werewolves, and angels.

Supernatural RH

Kit has a lot to learn much of it stuff she didn’t think or know she had to. She gets a rather large surprise at the citadel when she has thought she was human all her life and just wants to go back to that normal life. She slowly makes friends and learns what she is and what she can do. Something is forcing shifters to shift and go violent and her and the guys she likes are going to have figure out what is causing it why this is happening and how to stop it. I enjoyed each of the characters and how they interacted. This book was so much fun to listen to and I can’t wait to find out what is next especially with the book she gets at the end. I have a feeling there’s a lot more to this world and what’s out there than we know. I am excited to see how Kit and her guy’s handle it all. A vampire, an angel, and a wolf what could go wrong? Add in the panther and you’ve got a recipe for fun and trouble. and they make an unstoppable force as they continue to learn more and Kit uses what she learns to her advantage. The narrator did a great job with the different voices.

She is bound and determined to return home till whoever is messing with the other shifters outs her. Curious as too why her parents kept her in the dark.

Awesome

I loved the ebook and now I love the audio book. This story is so fantastic. Vanessa is a fantastic narrator and actually one of my favorites and it made me even more happy to see she narrated this book for Kiera.

Urban Fantasy Academy Story with a smidge of love

Kit wanted to go to college with her friends but her parents insisted she go away to attend a different college- one that is not what Kit expected. She seems to be the only normal student in a school full of the supernatural, things Kit is not even sure exist. All she wants to do is go home and get her regular life back on track, but it seems life has other plans for her.

Beastly was a very quick read, easy to power through in a day since it was only a little over five hours long. The author was able to create a detailed, unique world in so few pages, which I find very impressive. The main character finds herself enrolled in a college that just so happens to be full of shifters- and in this case, shifters just so happen to be all kinds of creatures such as animal shifters, vampires, angels and who knows what else. My favorite creature just so happened to be Herman the boggart, and while he was not a shifter, he was ridiculous and mischievous and I loved whenever he showed up because I was certain I would be entertained.

The plot dealt with the regular angst of fitting into a new college as well as a new kind of world, lots of secrets, conspiracies and discoveries dealing with the supernatural world, a possible reverse harem with potential relationships with three different boys (keep in mind this was fairly PG, with a few kisses and some over the clothes groping and lust) and then the undercurrent of a drastic problem in the regular world. Everything intertwined nicely to make a cohesive plot, with Kit inadvertently smack dab in the middle of it all.

I found this entertaining and interesting and it totally plays into my current obsession with the academy book trend that is on the rampage. The narrator was perfect at bringing Kit to life and she did voices for the other character that gave everyone personality which I loved. I will for certain be picking up the next book in this world because I have so many questions and I need to know more. This is the second series I have read by this author and I enjoyed both immensely and I will read whatever she wants to create in the future because I know it will be fun.

Beast

I enjoyed listening to this story and the narration was great. However, I did not the main character. She was very unlikable and at times selfish and mean so I don’t think I will be reading more. Recommend for anyone who likes academy setting, reverse harem and paranormal romance.

Shifters University of love

Excellent description of the citadel allows you to be there with the characters. Delightful characters and interesting mystery keeps you entertained the entire time. The narrator did an excellent job of voicing each character. I enjoyed the interactions between the main character and the miriad of young men who all are attracted to her. The story ends with just enough to bring you back for more without a frustrating cliffhanger. Highly recommend for older teens due to the nature of some of the content and the language.
