Publisher's summary

One dance with this “prince” could cost her a job.

Her freedom.

Her life.

Warlord Tane of Atlan is a warrior, not a prince.

So why is he wearing these ridiculous white pants and gold-trimmed jacket?

And gods help him, why are there hundreds of females in glittering gowns, circling like vultures, expecting him to dance?

The human producers of the Bachelor Beast television show thought this would be a good idea; dress up an unmated Warlord like a fairytale prince, invite hundreds of eligible human women to a “Cinderella Ball,” turn on their cameras, and record everything.

And then he sees her. His mate. The only female who can tame his beast.

But …

This princess wasn’t supposed to be at the ball. A borrowed ballgown. A stolen invitation. A friend in trouble. Everything is going according to plan … until she can no longer resist temptation.

Surely one dance won’t hurt?

Even a dance with a beast.

Least favorite so far

Female narrator ruined this one for me. I can’t finish it. She sounds like a robot. Her cadence is annoying. I hope the next ones have a different female narrator.

Great story, not good female narration

Seems like a female narrator was generated from AI. It is very monotonous and all female characters sound the same. Great story though. Love all Grace Goodwin’s books!! She is the best author

Delightful

The storyline was intriguing. I enjoyed learning about Alayna and Tayne. Their storyline was new and raw. I was not very enthused about Marlaina. She sounded more like a robot than an actual person. I did, however, enjoy listening to Tor Thom. He’s always enjoyable to listen to.

Great story

I loved the storyline and the fantasy in the story, mostly the primitive claiming of their mate. Tor Thom is a great narrator but Marlaina Garret almost made me stop listening. I will not listen to another book where she's the narrator,

Welp...that narrator just ruined it for me

I have was so excited to hear Tane's story. He grabbed my attention immediately in previous 2 books and I was DYING to get to this book. Tor, as always, is magnificent! He has a great range and even his Chet voice was as I expected and made me laugh and say "perfect!", but this female narrator...ugh. It absolutely almost ruined it for me... seriously. Her tone, cadence, speed, and lack of ANY emotion at ALL was ridiculously grueling to sit through. I was groaning and hoping she'd KNOCK IT OFF and just read with any emotion at all...but nope. It was FLAT, cringe. She sounded like if an AI did an emotionless Captain Kirk impersonation - the long flat pauses and ridiculous over enunciation grating my my ever last nerve. This narrator should really loosen up! wow.

Female narrator's performance was annoying

The female narrator's voices and pausing made it difficult to get through the book. Her exaggerated breaths at the end of her statements are maddening. Enjoyed storyline, but needs new narrator!
