Wonderful beach read. I absolutely could not put it down. I have it on audible and hardback.

Least favorite Kristy Woodson Harvey Book

I keep waiting for more books like KWH’s first books… Slighty South of Simple, Feels Like Falling, Under The Southern Sky, Dear Caroline, Under The Southern Sky, Christmas In Peachtree Bluff, The Southern Side of Paradise… the Peachtree Bluff series. I haven’t been thrilled with the last few. I just don’t connect with this plot. The narration is just irritating. Normally I can’t stop listening… the last few I’ve struggled to finish. Alice is whiny and breathy and just nerve grating. I just don’t care for that narrator. I don’t enjoy her narration in Mary Alice Monroe’s books, either. I don’t know I’ve waited and waited for this book and I hate to complain about a book I know she worked so hard on, but it’s just not there for me. It was disappointing.

Unoriginal and silly. All characters were predictable and stereotypical. It was also a direct copy of Bridgerton with the anonymous society paper. Ugh!

Disappointed

The narration was disappointing and irritating, especially Alice who seemed to have a different speaking voice when talking to Elliot and then to friends. The plot is hard to get to. I’m still listening and am a little sad I waited so long for this book.
