Steamy beach affair turns romantic

McKayla is left at the altar and goes on honeymoon alone. She gets saved from a shark while surfing by hunky hotel owned Marcus. Their attraction leads to a steamy affair, and more.

This story had a nice storyline with very hot scenes! It kept me intrigued throughout and was ultimately a cute and sexy romance.

Holly's performance really enhanced the story for me. She has such energy when narrating it made the story feel like a movie i was watching.

Fun quick listen

This is a fun listen with just the right amount of drama and mystery. It has insta-love, Hawaii, and business drama.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Holly does a good job reading this one.

Beach Happens

Two people that have had bad romantic experiences meet and find an instant attraction. Between too much blatant sex and miscommunications they seem to find fun. There is lots of sand and surf and atmosphere. The listener will either be transported there or wish for the end to see what happens. A little spicy for my taste.



The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Holly Holt did a fine job with a story thats not to my taste.

Lighthearted Hawaiian Romantic Romp

What do you do when your fiance dumps you at the alter? You get on that plane and find the perfect haolie hunk to surf the perfect Hawaiian wave with you! While McKayla runs in to all kinds of frustrations, she manages to find magnetism galore in uptight billionaire Marcus. Then, the sharks, surfboards and fireworks are off!

This was the perfect palate cleanser for some of the more serious books I've been reading! Loads of friends, sun and sex ~ perfect for mature readers! While second in Ms. Schmidt 's Hawaii series, it is fine as a standalone novel and a fun, quick listen/read. Of course the HEA is not to be missed!

Holly Holt was the PERFECT narrator for this book. Her voices for all the characters, especially McKayla and Marcus, brought them vividly to Life. I could just see McKayla swishing that ponytail and Marcus being all growly and sexy. LOVED IT!!

5 Stars all around!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beach Happens

I really enjoyed Beach Happens. I've never read any others in the series, but it stands alone well. I'll definitely be looking into the series to see if it elaborates more on the characters who are not the main characters. I'm intrigued by the buying/selling of the hotels and the mentioned kidnapping that happened before the events of this story. Overall, wonderful read.

GREAT READ!

I really enjoyed it! This book was full of witty banter, hot sex and steamy romance. The narration was excellent. The author did a great job with the characters and plot. Cute and Sexy

I really liked this story. Suspenseful and sexy. I really like the narrator Holly and thought she was a new narrator for me but realized I have listened to other stories read by her. She does a great job between characters. The story is based on Hawaii in the surf scene. I highly recommend.

Super cute and Sexy

When McKayla is left at the alter she decides to venture on her honeymoon alone. While catching waves she meets Marcus a sexy surfer who also turns out to be half owner of the hotel she's been secretly staying at. Full of lots of fun moments, witty characters and some super hot scenes this story is sure to keep you on your toes. The narrator really enhances the story and brings all the characters to life and makes it even more entertaining.

Oh WOW

This was spectacular!!!! I couldn't get enough of this. Michaela has been thrown through the ringer for this story. Left at the alter for what was a modern day arranged marriage. Goes on what was supposed to be her honeymoon to Maui, the airport looses her luggage, oh and her now ex fiance cancelled their hotel reservations so she has no place to stay!! Lucky for her the staff takes pity on her and allows her to stay in a room in the renovation area. (I manage a hotel myself and it is currently under renovation so I can picture the nightmare she had to be staying in! ) Michaela forgot how much she loved to surf and is doing her best to enjoy herself but things just keep going wrong. Shes thought to be homeless by a misunderstanding with a dumpster incident and then it just spirals for poor Michaela!

Marcus, he owns the hotel Michaela is squatting in. He has the hots for her but never anticipated falling for her. He is at ends with the previous owner of his hotel who has made several attempts on his life and others close to him. This story has action, steamy scenes, mystery, suspense. Great job Jamie K Schmidt. The story was phenomenal! It was sucked you in and you can't wait to see what happens next! Holly Holt did a fantastic job with bringing Jamie's work to life!!

Fun story with ok narration

It was a fun listen and I wanted to know what happens next. There were part that weren’t so believable like a lawyer will not go to Hawaii, lose her bag and not buy clothes immediately. She has a career and money but acted like a poor person. The billionaire owner and her just wanted to surf? I don’t know it didn’t feel real yet I know very little about Hawaii so that may be normal there. The romance was hot and it was fun.
