Wow!! This book was everything that I was hoping it would be! This was such a heart wrenching story. Kari, the daughter of Alpha Carlos of the Bariloce Sector was tortured both mentally and physically beyond repair. The fact being that it was her father’s doing makes it even more tragic.

Learning to trust in anything or anyone is a difficult feet to accomplish for Kari, she is so broken. Her rescuer, Alpha Sven refuses to give up. He is so kind, caring and unstoppable. Will he be able to earn that trust and avenge Kari? You will have to read or listen to find out. You won’t be disappointed!

The narrators, as always did an amazing job especially Sarah who was very convincing as a broken omega. So good!

Triggers in this book but so good

First, there are triggers of abuse in past tense. Having read the book I thought I was prepared for the audiobook, and I was to an extent.
Having said that, this book will hit all of your emotions. Sven is the perfect match for Kari, not surprising if your a veteran of Ms Foss. He was patient, stern, loving, gently, all when Kari needed it. It was a perfect book for the X-Clan series.
I highly recommend reading the other books in the series first, or at least Winter’s Arrow because that’s where this story starts.
Such a good book

Love this series/ Omegaverse

I quickly became a Lexi Foss fan thanks to her Blood Alliance series, so stepping into the Omegaverse of the X-Clan and the various sectors was an easy (and addictive) transition. I absolutely love her writing style. Each book is packed with action, drama, romance, and plenty of spice. The last two books in the X-Clan series are my favorite so far. It’s a tough call between Kazek (from the previous book) and Sven (from this one) for who’s my favorite. These two are absolutely unstoppable. Lexi has a gift for writing deeply layered, "broken" characters who carry an inner fire that drives them toward healing and strength. Kari, the heroine in this story, is a prime example of that resilience. Sven’s care for Kari is seriously heart-melting. He’s sweet, patient, and incredibly gentle with her, giving her the time and space she needs to recover from the horrific abuse inflicted by her father. (Don’t worry! Justice is definitely served, and it is ice cold.)

Lexi’s worldbuilding is so interconnected that while the books can be read as standalones, I highly recommend reading them in order for the full experience. Do note: there are some trigger warnings. The series deals with dark themes, including omegas being drugged, trafficked, and abused by a power-hungry alpha. These are stories of survival, healing, and learning to love again, and the X-Clan heroes do not disappoint when it comes to righting those wrongs. The narration is top-tier. Kale Williams could read me the dictionary and I’d still swoon, while Sarah Puckett shines as always in perfectly capturing heroines who are both fiery and vulnerable. I highly recommend the X-Clan series! Start here before diving into the Blood Sector series for the best experience.

Painfully amazing

This novel was heart throbbingly good. It took me longer to get through this one because I had to get in the right mindset to process the emotional trauma that the heroine went through. And talk about a strong supportive mate. These two had chemistry. The vocals did the characters both justice and the ending left it open for new adventures. I can’t wait to read more!
