Publisher's summary

Gorgeous sand planet barbarians in need of mates. Marooned women who want to escape. A steamy sci-fi romance box set!

After crash-landing on an unfamiliar desert planet, an all-female bounty hunter crew is rescued by a gorgeous, telepathic alien race of barbarians. And while the natives of the sand planet vow to help the females return to space, the barbarians can’t fight their attraction to the fascinating women.

Bounty (Book One)

Marooned on a sand planet, injured, and separated from her crew, Captain Danica Miller is not having a good day. When she’s rescued from the desert by a huge, gold-skinned alien, she doesn’t know whether to be relieved or to panic. Not only is he clearly a barbarian—a barely-dressed one at that—he seems to be able to read her thoughts. Even worse? She can sense his. And he seems to think she’s his to claim.

Captive (Book Two)

It wasn’t bad enough that scientist Max Dryden was taken as a bounty by an all-female space bounty hunter crew. Nope, that was only the beginning. When the bounty hunters were marooned on a sand planet, she was captured by aliens and taken to their city. Now she’s got a personal bodyguard and captor watching her every move.

One problem: He’s not one of the aliens who took her. He’s one of the sand barbarians sent by the bounty hunter women to break her out and bring her back. Since she’s determined to find a way off the planet and out of captivity, he’s a very big and very hot distraction she doesn’t need.

Torment (Book Three)

Tough girl Tori wants nothing to do with the gorgeous alien barbarians who rescued her and her crew when they crashed on the sand planet. When she stows aboard an enemy ship to exact her revenge, she did not expect one of the barbarians to join her. And why did it have to be the cockiest one of them all? When he gets captured and offloaded to an alien slave market, she knows she can’t leave him behind. But can she save him from the notorious slavers and get back to her crew on the sand planet?

This collection contains the first three books in Tana Stone’s best-selling sci-fi romance series. The books feature a feisty, all-female bounty hunter crew; gorgeous, sand planet barbarian warriors; action-packed battles; and steamy scenes in an exotic desert oasis, a locked tower suite, and the Den of Thieves.

If you like hot alien warriors, strong women, and fated mates romance with a happily-ever-after, you’ll love Barbarians of The Sand Planet Collection (Books 1-3), the first three books in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Barbarians of the Sand Planet series.

worth the credit

somewhat diverse cast. All earth females are anglo ( different hair color) 2 other females are "alien". 1 is a shape shifter & the other is a warrior with "dark skin " & pointed teeth. ( some representation is better than none,) The women are fierce & aren't tag for breeding like most stories but, none of the women are season ( over 35 or 40) Seems like a interesting series.

Love in a dangerous place!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😳☺️🤫😍

The heroine: Torie - After nearly being raped on a bounty hunter ship where she previously worked, Torie joined an all female bounty hunting crew. After picking up their last bounty they were boarded by a rival bounty hunter and his crew, who then sabotaged their ship and stranded them on a primitive sand planet. After the rival hunters figured out the bounty they were after was actually a woman and that the women still had her, they came to the sand planet, destroyed the women’s ship and tried to capture the bounty, killing her in the process.

The Hero: Vrax - Vrax was a Dothvek warrior. He and Torie didn’t get along from the beginning but he admired how fierce she was and how she fought for her friends. So when Torie snuck on to the rival space ship to get revenge after seeing they killed Max, he followed her to keep her safe.

The Story: Torie and Vrax hide in the ventilation ducts of the ship while trying to figure out how to overpower and kill the crew, though they are discovered and he makes sure Torie is hidden away while he is taken captive. He ends up in a slave auction on a planet known as the “Den of Thieves” where they get into some dangerous situations.

This series has been good so far and every one I have read has a different storyline which I have enjoyed, so they are not all replica’s of each other with different characters. Though the characters in this one were sort of dumb to sneak on to a ship full of bad guys with big weapons. It is no surprise that they end up in trouble.

I find it funny in books like these when the two main characters are in the middle of escaping a dangerous situation and they stop to get intimate with each other. I just can’t get into that. I keep thinking why don’t they wait until they are in a safe place before getting together like that. But some people must like it because authors always seem to put scenes like that into the mix.

I liked Torie in the last two books because she is strong and a warrior and always willing to fight for what she wants. She was that in this book also but she was a bit annoying because she is determined to taken as an equal to any man and has a bee in her bonnet about it. It is all well and good to be a feminist and women are definitely as good as men in different ways, and some are better warriors than many men. But it gets annoying when the feminism is so entrenched that the female doesn’t even like things like men opening doors for them, thinking it means they think the woman lesser, when in fact they are just being a gentlemen.

Like the first two books, the narration was great. I love it when there is dual narration within every chapter and can’t say enough about that since I just hate it when the male narrator has to do female voices and vice versa. Tristan Josiah and Sierra Grace did the narration and they were both very good.

Value-pak of popcorn p😜rn

“At least I’m not naked or wearing a gold bikini.”
💥 This contains books 1, 2, and 4 (Bounty, Captive, Torment). Book 3 (Tribute) is NOT in the omnibus.
Oct 2022 update: Audible fixed the numbering, so that Tribute is now book 4.
You may now safely purchase this trio and then pick up with Tribute, book 4 without fear of duplicates.

At 5 hrs each, these are more novella than book, so you know you’re getting the Cliff Notes version of stories. But, that’s okay. Sometimes, I want to get right to the buttery popcorn goodness.

“Well this was just great… turned on by an alien furnace.”
❤️ This has a pretty good collection of the things I like in my alien romance:
+ Hunky aliens, ridged for her pleasure
+ Feisty women, rather than helpless damsels
+ A variety of women, including an alien gal
+ Human-alien translation issues get resolved efficiently
+ Alpha in the sheets, but always consensual
+ Good nooky/story ratio for novellas
+ Duet style narration for a deliciously deep voice to carry the smolder

Book 1 Bounty = 1st scene is after midway, but 4 scenes total gives great “bang” for your buck
Danica & K’elvek
Book 2 Captive = 2 scenes, better storyline with whole cast, expanding beyond K’alvek’s little tribe
Max & Kuth
Book 4 Torment = 3 scenes, best couple due to fiery hate-flirting, off world space opera / gladiator fun
Tori & Vrax

💔 There were a few things that could have been better:
- Some clunky plots, like book 1’s repetitive thoughts by K’alvek about pursuing revenge and not being distracted by Danica…only to have that plot entirely disappear from other books
- Book 4 is still pulpy, but it does have our H & h killing folks, slavery and some leering almost abuse scenes that some might find triggering.
- The “all-lady crew” thing was laid on a bit thick… but the Bounty Babes running joke is kind of fun
- Could have used a bit more camp to go with the vamp
- Could have used a bit more clever dialogue
- The dirty talk was a little monosyllabic (“mine,” or “tight,” or “stubborn”)
- Nooky could be somewhat formulaic (there could be other words for “crown”)

Similar alien romance series that sizzled for me:
🔥Drixonian Warriors (don’t let the skeezy 80s hair cover art turn you off, this is alien hawty-nawty fun)
🔥Vorge Crew (campy and consensual, but it does have earth gal abduction backstories)
🔥 Corsairs or Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon (exuberant, cheesy goodness)
🔥Eon Warriors (more sci-fi, action, and friction between kickbutt alpha aliens and alpha gals)
