Publisher's summary

A SciFi Alien Romance

It's hard being the most popular girl on the ice planet. The alien men are falling all over themselves to impress me in the hopes that I'll take them to my furs. But they don't know my secrets - none of them do. And they don't realize that behind my smile, I just wish they'd go away.

I don't want any of them. I want someone else - someone with a gorgeous blue body, big horns, and the most intense gaze ever. He's the only one that knows the truth. Maybe with him, I can work through my fears of the past...but I'm pretty sure he wants more than just friendship.

He wants forever, and I'm not sure I can give it.

Contains mature themes.

Why was the lady on the cover white if the story was about a black woman

I adored this story but started getting a bit confused when the started describing the woman’s features. The lady in the cover is white but the story is about a dark skinned black woman. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Over all loved it along with all the other series.

Tiffany friend zones Salukh for a looong time

Having now heard all the IPB books on Audible, I heartily recommend the series for campy, naughty alien romance. You should start with Book 1, but after that, you don’t lose too much taking some out of order, or skipping an occasional book entirely if the plot isn’t quite your speed. I could have skipped this one.

I prefer the books that emphasize fast fun, action and hot nooky over the books that fall more on slow, sweet, and overcoming-obstacles side of romance. This book 5 and the next book 6 (Josie and Haeden’s story) both deal with human women moving past rape and finding a path forward with hunky blue suede devils on ice planet Not Hoth. It’s true women deal with sexual trauma in very different ways. But, for me, the way Tiffany copes, although respectfully written, did not make for a fun, erotic listen. I preferred book 6’s story because, although it deals with the heavy topic of abuse, there is a lot more fun and friction (with Haeden horrified to resonate to talkative Josie) to balance the heavy stuff with light.

The dual narration was spectacular as always, and the book was okay... but when I tune in to this series, I want saucy, good times and this one took way too long to get there.

Bittersweet, romantic and entertaining.

This is book 5 in the ICE PLANET BARBARIAN SERIES and while each story stands alone, I recommend they be read in order.

This is Tiffany and Salukh’s story and it covers a topic I don’t usually like to read about in romance. However, I felt author Ruby Dixon treated the subject matter sensitively and in a manner that made me sympathetic for Tiffany without being uncomfortable myself. She allowed Tiffany to rise above the painful memories supported by the perfect, understanding partner. Ultimately, I felt the story was romantic, rather than focusing on horrible events of the past.

Audible narrators Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd do a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.

This series has been a welcome and unexpected boost to my romance listening enjoyment. It just keeps getting better.
I recommend this series.

The Fun Continues!

This story was good, maybe slightly less so than the others so far, but still good. The author has a great way of alternating the hot and sexy scenes with an overall very good and entertaining story, so that the two interweave together very nicely. I don’t normally like the overdone and all too graphic sex scenes in most romance novels, but these are really very well done!

These alien men are so awesome: Nice, romantic, tender, gorgeous, sexy, very monogamous-the list is endless! Wondering if there is a spaceship 🚀 to this planet, and when will the next one be leaving??!!

Tiffany & Salukh

I liked this one but was starting to get annoyed with Tiffany, I am more like Josie and don’t want things to bring me down if bad things happen. I know not everyone isn’t like this, but it was getting a bit old after a while. But as usual it was sexy and I hope they get more of the series on Audible including the book with Claire which is missing. The girl on the cover doesn’t look black to me.

Another great Ice Planet romance!

I always enjoy these stories by Ruby Dixon in the Ice Planet series and this was another great listen. Tiffany and Saluk’s love story was sweet and I liked how they found their resonance together. Can’t wait for Josie and Hayden’s audiobook! Narration was good.

Sad

I felt so sorry for the main character—the story started out all sadness and no fun. I appreciate the story for what it is, but it just wasn’t what I had expected. By the end, I ended up fast-forwarding through the sexy-time (usually some of my favorite stuff)—I wanted to be done without missing any setup for the next book. I have really enjoyed all the books in the series leading up to this one.

So disappointed..

Tiffany was nothing but a sulky sullen whiny bitch. This story was as romantic as a soiled diaper. Don’t bother with this book, It’s a complete and utter waste of time.

Very good!

I think this is one of my favorite ones so far however the main female character re-lives her rape in dreams although it's not explicit. No description of the actual rape but it is tense and sad that is she has so much fear and anxiety over it you just truly feel her pain. So if you are sensitive to situations like that I would caution you however the love, gentleness, and understanding she receives from the man who wants her to be his mate is overwhelmingly sweet and slowly he is able to heal her anxiety and fear. It's a very sweet story.
