Publisher's summary

Three books. More than 40 hours of LitRPG goodness!

Jump into a fantasy role-playing adventure where the System merges dice rolls, a snarky game master, ability incentivized class-leveling, multi-realm base-building, dungeon diving, and a quest to learn the ultimate spell.

When Kenny is chosen for InterRealm, a real-life wargame where defenders are portaled in from their homeworld, he is forced to survive in a violent fantasy landscape.

Build a powerful presence in InterRealm and his homeworld will likely remain safe.

Fail, and the invaders will break through.

If there’s any consolation prize between Kenny getting to be a famous wizard, or building a Dread-fortress from the bones of his enemies, it may not be enough to make up for the fact that real live orcs are trying to kill him. To top it all off, the game master in his head couldn’t be any less impressed with his assignment.

Someone obviously botched their chances when they chose future-college-dropout Kenny. His opportunity to prove everyone wrong starts now....

Don't miss this special-edition LitRPG series Omnibus from debut author Theo Hodges. It's perfect for fans of Sean Oswald, Dakota Krout, and Shirtaloon.

Enjoyed but..

I enjoyed the series tremendously. But it felt like I missed a whole other book between books 2 and 3 with new characters introduced, and new pets, etc. I still greatly enjoyed the series and still reccomend it.

Good but not great.

The story was ok. It dragged on at parts and went way to fast at other parts. For as short as the series there are a ton of characters and it's easy to confuse some of the secondary characters.

He really is young and dumb

Overall, I enjoyed the story. My only problem with it was you can tell he is young 19 and dumb with references.
Some of the cultural references were very, very lame and distracting from the story. I wish that the main character would have growth dealing with the loss and loves of others as well as those around him but instead we had a very lame 19-year-old with bad references and no growth. If you can gloss over the lameness of the one-liners, the story was interesting concept, and otherwise, I hope for a little better editing, and as well as better growth in the main character. It

Excellent Snarky LitRPG story with great narration

Follow Kenny as he is transported into a D&Dish world and forced to endure a Game Master who can't help but criticize him. All the normal things happen as Crucible progresses on his worlds (the new one and Earth) need defending.

Good action. Great progression of all characters. Narrator does an excellent job.

You will love this story series.

just couldn't finish it..

the story was cool and another of the characters was awesome, but I just couldn't get past all of the MC, 3yr old crying and whinging and asking why and why not all the dang time... Even after his GM ask him to stop asking certain things or it was going to be bad for the GM... MC next words...but why...... It did get better in book 3 ( bought the pack) but around the last 3 hrs he started whinging again and enough was enough so I hit the finished on it... Really the MC is the only bad thing about this book.. he is definitely in my top 3 annoying stupid whinging ass MCs..

Grab the book to save Earth from tyranny.

I tried to read this book last year and got furious with Kenney, game name Crucible, the MC, to save my tablet from destruction I put the book down... and forgot about it. But this week I girded my loins and started in again.
Second read... yeah Kenney is a Dork starting with his name, and yeah he still says stupid stuff. But once I got past the really onerous dialogue I realized that the book wasn't half bad... there's plenty of action and well I decided that there might be help for Kenney he seems to be growing up. And the best part is the snarky gaming AI that keeps track of his stats. 3⭐'s

You know when I start collecting quotes I like, I've finally fallen for the book:

"I love your promises, like I love wet farts, it's never as good as I hoped and they always leave me with regrets."

Book 2 DreadFortress

As Crucible and his cronies get stronger fighting monsters, they're also building up the Fortress. Crucible has plenty of spells to unlock and allies to find, inorder to survive the Orc invasion. There's plenty of action, between dungeon diving to gain the stats and finding the resources needed for their Fortress. So it'll keep the most action-starved fan sated! The book doesn't have a strongest conclusion though, making DreadFortress feel a little bridgey. But I'm ready to start the final book, so it definitely did what was needed, to get the reader to the next book. The DreadWar. 4⭐'s

DreadWar bk3

Wow, talk about saving the best one for last. This is the action-packed book you've been waiting for. As this book culminates, Crucible has taken all his powers to build up his nation, not only to fight for all his friends, saving them from the tyranny they've struggled under. But to save Innerrealm the real-life world he had been sucked into. And not only that, but to save Earth from the same fate. Plus the book still provides all the snark you've come to expect.
Peter Berkrot's was the perfect narrator for this series! 5⭐'s

Emphasized the wrong things.

First, Peter Berkrot is Awesome. Well done.
Next, I loved the concept, but I didn't love the series. I think too much time was spent describing inconsequential battles. I felt the ending was rushed and unsatisfactory. I was also finding myself confused as to who was fighting whom and what side they were on.

Fun Complete LitRPG Series

This is the complete Badges of Dorkdom series and brings things from the introduction of the MC and supporting characters all the way through a satisfying end. The MC starts out rather whiney and unsympathetic (at least he is honest enough with himself to choose Lawful Evil as his alignment at the start due to his initial self-centered view and life), but grows as responsibilities increase. Peter Berkrot does an excellent job narrating, as usual. Definitely worth a credit for the enjoyment.
