Hutton and Ally!

I must say I read and heard the audiobook, I loved the story. I want a Hutton for myself. He is perfect and hot, nothing less of what makes it a great book boyfriend. SL Scott has proven to get me all the perfect boyfriends with each book.

Perfect combination!

This story of Hutton and Ally as narrated by Sebastian York and Ava Erickson was perfect! I love the storyline as well as the voices and how this was delivered.

Author S.L. Scott gives the story of royalty meets true love. The characters are fun and extremely enjoyable. I read this 2 person POV book a few months ago and liked this storyline a lot and decided to give the audible a try...and I am SO glad I did! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to get in to listening!

When Modern Day Gets In The Way

This is my first book by S.L Scott, and while I try to start "new to me" author reads with the first in a series, this audiobook was recommended to me by a fellow Audiobook junkie. So at her recommendation, I jumped in and was pleasantly surprised at how easily the story flowed, and no back info was needed. ( yes, I understand that's the point of a "standalone," but sometimes I feel like they make better sense in order LOL)
Hutton and Ally's instant connection intrigued me as well as Hutton's intense feelings for her, and Ally's waffling feelings between her birthright and Hutton. I did not care for her through most of the book < looks away> While I understood her dilemma, she seemed to enjoy being "selfish" having her cake and ruling the monarchy too!
Towards the end, I became more team Ally, but was thrown for a loop with the plot turns! That was very unexpected! I LOVE Hutton's brothers; they add such a witty dynamic to it all! This book was a modern-day sexy twist on royal duties that captured my not only my attention but my heart as well!
I am thrilled to have gotten the recommendation for this one! I am looking forward to listening/reading to Everest next and checking out some of Ms. Scott's other work.

Angsty and hot.
Insta-love - they were exchanging love affirmations before they’d spent much time together - seemed too fast. Liked the steadiness and support Hutton gave to Ally.

Listened to the audiobook:
Good narration, but unnaturally slow speaking - speed it up to more like 2x speed.

Sexy!

Well, this was hot.

I listened to the audiobook of this before reading the book, so I gotta say, this story with that narration? Hot, hot.

We have Hutton and Ally, and an attraction so strong, no wonder these two came together. They really are opposites, but they do find their common grounds and is spectacular.

I love royal stories, and more when SHE’S the one who’s a royal. So much power and responsibility, it takes a strong man to be with them. And Hutton is that man for sure.

These two have to go through many ups and downs in order to find their HEA, but it’s such an entertaining read, you just keep on reading (or listening, in my case).

As for the audiobook, the narrators are spot on. Perfect amount of sexiness and enough seriousness when it was needed to keep me engaged in this story. They were the perfect choice for this.
