Story
There are bad ideas and there are good bad ideas. My former fiancé banging a nanny - that was a bad idea. A good girl having her first ever one-night stand with the hot former bad boy she just met after being dumped? Bad idea. When I find out that the nanny's ex-boyfriend is looking for revenge, I should run - far away. But I don’t...because rebounding with Vince is the most awesome bad idea ever. Do I want to help him get back at our exes in this way? Oh. Hell. Yes. I want him to get back at my ex hard. With wild abandon. All night long.

She serves me coffee late at night when I come around to write lyrics, but it’s not the caffeine I’ve gotten addicted to. We’ve got the spark, but she’s the only woman in town who seems to be immune to my charms. When it’s time for me to leave for my cross-country tour, I just can’t imagine not seeing her for months. Dear Mr. Vega: I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son. I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today. Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes....

My stress level is off the charts. I can’t sleep right on a normal day, and lately my days are filled with the best kind of chaos. My ex-wife and husband number two are filming in Poland for three months, so I’m turning down movie parts to focus on the most important role of my life - impossibly charming and somewhat capable young single dad. Our regular nanny quit. The only person I could trust to hire as a temp nanny is my best friend’s sister. If Mary Poppins and Bill Murray had a baby it would be Willa.

Being a veteran quarterback means I’m a mentally alert, fine-tuned athletic machine who can make split-second decisions. It’s my job to anticipate what’s going to happen next. But I couldn’t have anticipated the death of our beloved team owner, or his estranged daughter, Hannah Strong, inheriting the Boston Tomcats. She’s stubborn, uptight, infuriating, and wrong about absolutely everything. I can’t stop arguing with her. Or thinking about her. And I don’t want to talk about how good she looks in a skirt. Or how good she’d look out of it. Really, I don’t.

I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

Hockey star Max Yearwood was everything I needed at the time - fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months, since he’d signed with a new team 3,000 miles away. He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

Reasons why I should not be drawn to Troy Serrano. Number one: He’s obnoxious. Number two: We were enemies more than a decade ago. Number three: He’s my friend’s ex-boyfriend. I could go on and on, really. When my boss gives me an unwanted assignment, and tells me it involves spending time with the grandson of one of our residents, the grandson turns out to be Troy. I left the Navy, scored a billion in tech, got married, and had a baby. I did everything by the book. Happily ever after, right? Fast-forward four years, and I’m alone, raising my daughter, caring for my mother-in-law, and trying to keep my stuff together. How did this happen? I was clearly drunk the night I offered a gorgeous girl in a bar $500 a day to be my live-in nanny. Or maybe it was my dick talking. So what if I’ve been alone since forever? I’m focused on launching my new business, not bedding the sexy siren who sleeps down the hall.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

Growing up, I knew my older brother’s best friend thought of me as “Logan’s kid sister”. For me, though, our next-door neighbor Colin felt like anything but a sibling. Whenever I spied on him through my bedroom window, as he banged away, shirtless, on his drum kit, I felt sensations inside me I’d never felt for my actual brother. But when we moved away and Colin’s band took off like a rocket, I knew my tweener fantasies would never become a reality.

Publisher's Summary
Wes
When I was a kid, my dad was the gardener for the richest man in town. His daughter, Lily Barnes, told me she could never like a guy like me. Then she kissed me and told me it would never happen again. When it happened again, she told me she could never love me because she was going to leave this place, and I would never leave my dad.
We were never quite friends, not exactly enemies, and we could never quite stop secretly kissing each other.
She never said goodbye before running off to try to make it as an actress. That was her dream, and I wanted her to chase it. Okay, maybe I hated her for it, just a little.
Now she’s back, with no money and even more sass.
A lot has changed around here...except for my hidden feelings about Lily Barnes.
Lily
So, it turns out I’m a terrible actress and now I’m back!
When my father offers me a job at his company, I actually think he’s finally decided I’m worthy of one day taking over the family business. Imagine my surprise when I find out that the gardener’s son is the one who’s being groomed to take over, and I’ve been assigned to work for him.
Wes Carver has always been rich in confidence and abs, but now he’s rich in everything, including disdain for yours truly.
If he thinks I’m not built to work, he’s wrong.
If he thinks he can boss me around just because he’s my boss, he’s delusional.
If he thinks I’m still the girl who could never love him...I may be a better actress than anyone thought.

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 Swoon-worthy Wes💘Lily!
I adored this fabulous story, Kayley Loring is a master at writing heartfelt romance novels that are captivating from start to end. She creates interesting storylines and characters that are realistic and likable, they are ones you can relate to and empathize with what they are going thru. Lily Barnes wanted to become an actress, she left home after H.S to pursue a career in theatre. It did not work out for her and she decides to head home and work at her father’s company, she needed the money, and she needed to work at least a year gain access to her trust fund. Her father never supported her career choice and wanted her to work for the company. He gives her a job as Wes’s assistant, Wes, the son of her father’s grounds keeper, the boy she had a crush on. Wes is such a great guy, he has been in love with Lily since she was a teenager and he planned to keep his relationship professional but not everything goes as planned. I thought these two were great together and for each other. He was patient with her, he knew she needed for find herself and what she wanted in life. It was great to see Lily come into her own, loved how she finally fessed up about how she felt, also loved how she stood up to her father. This story is filled with love, emotions, some good laughs, drama, a touch of angst and some hot romance. And the ending will put a smile on your face. Kayley Loring, thank you for another fabulous story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright are wonderful narrators and voice performers. They bring these characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. You can hear how much heart they put into their performance as they project the emotions of the characters. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen 🎧

A fantastic page-turner
Kayley Loring has quickly become one of my must read authors as I've come to enjoy all her books and Back For More was another fantastic page-turner. This sweet yet emotional love story had me hooked from beginning to end and I enjoyed every moment of it. This novel included first love, enemies to lovers, office romance and second chance tropes all into one amazing story and I could not put it down. I loved Wes and Lily. Their chemistry was intense, their steamy scenes were hott but it was their banter had me really amused. Back For More was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all romance lovers.
I listened to the audible version of this novel and I absolutely loved it. Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright were amazing together. Their narration were perfect and they brought the story to life. Their pace and timing was excellent and they were easily able to portray the emotions of the characters. I really love their voices and it was a pleasure listening to them narrate this story.

Beautiful Story!
I love Kayley Loring's writing. This is a beautifully written, sweet and emotional second chance to love and enemies to lovers. Wes and Lily are both great characters. Wes is handsome, and sexy. Lily is a lovely woman. Their first love is amazing. The secondary characters are also great. Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job with the narration. I loved it and I highly recommend it. #AudiobookObsession

Impressed by this new-to-me author!
I'd never read nor listened to anything penned by Kayley Loring prior to her newest release, but if her back list is as fantastic as this one, then I'm clearly missing out. Narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright, Back for More is a standalone audiobook, and it's a romantic comedy with a touch of second-chance romance and enemies-to-lovers. We're introduced to twenty-three-year-old Lily Barnes, a woman who grew up wanting for almost nothing, except the love and affection of the mother she lost. When she decides to leave her home right after graduating from high school, it isn't merely because of wanting to pursue a career in acting. More than anything, what Lily craved was her widowed father's approval and recognition. However, it isn't just her father and the only home she's ever known she's left behind; Lily leaves Wes Carver, too, the son of their family gardener. Wes who came into her life when he was sixteen and she was fourteen. Wes who owned all her kisses. Wes who she only said goodbye to in a note telling him to not go looking for her. Five years later, Lily returns, ready to prove to her father she deserves to take over their family-owned realty business. It isn't until she's back in town that her father reveals the one piece of information that he failed to mention before: her new boss is none other than Wes Carver.
This rom-com was a revelation, and I enjoyed the heck out of every second of it. Kayley Loring perfectly balanced the romance with the comedy and sprinkled some slow-burn, second-chance, and enemies-to-lovers to it and the tension between the main characters was deliciously addictive. To be perfectly honest, I'm not usually a fan of heroines like Lily, but I'm glad that I didn't allow that initial impression dissuade me because there was more to Lily than meets the eye. She wasn't the spoiled princess I thought her to be, and while I did raise an eyebrow at her returning home to get her hands on her trust fund a year earlier than she was supposed to, at least she was honest about it. Then there's Wes, and the guy simply stole my heart, even as he struggled with keeping his cool and distance from Lily because he didn't want to get his heart broken all over again should she choose to leave once she received her trust fund. He was sweet and sensitive but he also had a dirty mouth on him. Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright brought these two to life impeccably well, and I think they were paired perfectly for this audiobook. I've listened to Hamilton before, so I'm not surprised by how gifted a narrator he is, but this was my first listen from Cartwright, and she left me just as impressed as I was with Loring's writing. All in all, Back for More was one of my top rom-com audios this year, and I wouldn't say "no" to listening to more from this trio. Five stars! ♥

5 STAR Review
I love every second of this audiobook. I loved getting lost in the story. I love to read a good book, but sometimes listening to a book gives you all the feels. That's exactly how I felt with this book. I loved getting lost in the story. I loved getting lost in the words. I love each and every minute of this book and audiobook.
I love Lily and Wes. I love who they are when they are with each other. I love how amazing they are together. I love it when they give in and allow each other in. I love the history these two characters have. I love seeing Lily become the woman she was always meant to be. I loved seeing her grow and change. I loved seeing the person Wes became. I love how hard he works, how good he is.
I loved this story and I love the chance to review the audiobook. I can't wait for more from this amazing author.

Have you ever started a book and IMMEDIATELY known it was going to be a five star read? That was the case with me and Back For More. I can't pinpoint exactly what vibe within me that Lily's letter to Max instantaneously harmonized with, but it did and now Kayley Loring is a must read/auto buy author for me (and this was my first book by her). Not only are Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright PHENOMENAL as narrators, this story just hit all my buttons. It's second chance romance done oh so right, a reuniting of first loves, an office romance, it has problematic parents, AWESOME friends, and the steamy bits could not have been more perfect. It has just the right amount of emotional tug and angst but satisfying and realistic resolution and characters that communicate and exhibit the kind of emotional maturity I LOVE in romance. I legit can't wait to read Kayley Loring's backlog (and I sincerely hope it features a book about Nate and Alicia). Back For More was just a joy to read from beginning to end and I ran the gamut of emotions (including some LOL moments) while listening. I actually went ahead and added the paperback to my Amazon cart because, dah da da dah - it's a Best of 2019 pick for me! 5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Great listen
Everything about this audiobook is perfection from the slow burn romance, the characters, the banter and one liners and the narration. I had read the book before listening to the audiobook and had enjoyed the book but honestly I loved the audiobook more than I enjoyed reading the book . Both the narrators made the story so much more beautiful with their narration. Definitely worth listening.

♥️♥️ Wes and Lily! ♥️♥️
Kayley Loring once again delivers win Back For More! I loved everything about this audiobook. From the amazing characters, addictive story, and the perfect narration everything was spot on.
Lily and Wes were so great. From their sizzling connection to the amazing banter between the two they are enemies-to-lovers perfection. Their story also has a touch of second chance romance that had me rooting for these two the entire time.
Narration was performed by Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright. I adore this narrating due individually, but together they’re even better! Both put so much emotion behind their performances and bring the story to life effortlessly. 5 stars.

Great book
I really enjoyed listening to this and how Lily and Wes eventually gave in to their feelings for each other. It was sad that Lily’s dad was so distant with her but I was happy when he opened up about his feelings and things worked out in the end.

🎧 Review for Audiobook Obsession 🎧
This Friends to Lovers storyline has a two fold agenda. First get the guy, turn a childhood crush into a meaningful relationship, but also gain the love and respect of her father something Lily has never understood and has tried to achieve all her life.
Bonus the narrators Teddy Hamilton (one of my favorites) & Mackenzie Cartwright need I say more?

Another great book!
I’m really liking this author. Her books seem to keep my attention when I have a hard time finding something that will! Her choice of narrators also has a big thing to do with the overall enjoyment. I love these two! Teddy Hamilton is a true professional and I love his work! His voice is fantastic and he performs everything so well. I also love McKenzie Cartwright. I have to admit I’m a little more picky w/ female narrators so I am very pleased that I adore McKenzi.

My Thoughts on Back For More
This was a story about self discovery. It was a story about family. And of course it was a story about love. It was also an excellent listen. Not only because the narrators were amazing, even though they absolutely were. But also because the story was really well developed with great characters and a really interesting plot.
Wes was so patient and kind and understanding, even if he didn't always show it in the most obvious ways sometimes. But I didn't even need to get to the end to know his love for Lily was real. And while Lily may have fought it hard, she knew the truth as well. It just took her a moment to admit it.
Kayley Loring is one of those authors I feel like I can auto buy with confidence and this story is a great example of her writing skills and a fantastic collaboration with to top notch narrators.

Wes and Lily forever
This was such an enjoyable book to listen to. I loved everything about this story from beginning to end and the narration was terrific.
Wes Carver works for J. Barnes, in a different roll than his father but J. Barnes is his boss. When he is told Lily Barnes will be his new assistant he doesn't quite know what to think. He has been in love with Lily for years but unable to do anything about it. Now she is back in his life and maybe their love will have a chance.
Lily left town after highschool to become an actress. 5 years later she is back and not famous and dependant on her father for a place to live and a job. When he makes her Wes's assistant she thinks she is being punished by fate but turns out the love gods have a plan.
Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright were great as Wes and Lily. Loved listening to these two.

Wish I could give this book more than 5 stars
What a beautiful story. I love how it all came around in a circle and made sense. My heart hurt because of the relationship Lily had with her dad. I would totally marry Wes. I liked that there wasn’t a lot of angst. All the characters are wonderful. The narration was great! I loved everything about this book. I definitely recommend listening to this book.

💣💣 Loring is getting better and better!!! 💣💣
I just don't know how more romance readers aren't out there reading/listening to Kayle Loring. Her characters are charming and frustrating which seriously gives themselves that real feeling. There are so many instances where we get the female being the help and the man having the rich and snobby family but we get a bit of a role reversal here. Lilly is the one with a well to-do family and aspirations of being an actress. Wes is the gardner's son with nothing but hearts in his eyes when he looks upon Lilly. She goes off to pursue her dreams while Wes stays and works his way into Lilly's family as an employee that is primed to take over her father's position eventually. Oh these two!! There was sparks that couldn't be doused in a bucket of water.
I feel like Miss Loring has giving us one after another of sweet romances with heat and fun! I think this one had a bit of those parental issues we can all struggle with. We want our parents to be proud and to turn to us as we turn to them when our roles eventually switch. There was a bit more negativity or toxicity than is usually seen in Miss Loring's other books. However, it seemed to work for this novel.
The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright was just fantastic!! I love their narrations together. They have a great sound. I really enjoyed Teddy's ability to add a lightness to Wes. Mackenzie really gives an emotional narration and mixing that with a deeper male voice of Teddy's deep baritone and it's another narrative hit!!
