Stillwater Trace: A Novel

By: Zac Cannon

Narrated by: Steven Anderson

Perfect lawns. Perfect smiles. Perfect lies.Malcolm “Mack” Ward arrives at Stillwater Trace expecting the cold shoulder, at worst, and, just maybe, the potential for one last second chance. But when the former Army chaplain and disillusioned pastor witnesses the abduction of a young girl, he becomes a reluctant fugitive pursued by the real powers pulling the levers behind the scenes of the community that promises security in exchange for carefully controlled truths.Behind the white picket fences and beneath the manicured lawns, something is already in motion; a hidden agenda reshaping what it means to belong... and who gets to decide. The deeper Mack digs, the more dangerous Stillwater Trace becomes. When the conspiracy closes in, he realizes the people he loves most may already be part of it.In this tense, provocative thriller, the safest place in America may also be the most terrifying.©2026 Zac Cannon (P)2026 Zac Cannon

thought provoking read

keeps you on the edge of your seat and kind scary with today's environment. definitely worth the read

Thriller

This book is very well written. On the one hand it is an action packed thriller. Once I got into the story I could not stop listening. The story line is almost sci fi. However, it also has underlying religious and political themes.
I gave the narration a 4. Not at all hard to listen to but the female voices were so so.
Again, a great listen that I would definitely recommend.
