“Keep it still.” Norell reaches out to hold it still, but she has barely released the locket before it starts swaying back and forth again. “It’s swinging towards Notio. It wants to go inside!” Reynir clenches his fists. “This is Wheedler magic.” The locket flickers as if it’s hidden behind a cloud of smoke. “Dark magic,” I gasp. “The necklace is enveloped in dark magic!” Notio is rife with uncertainty. The vengeful Wheedlers are waiting outside the town walls, Reynir’s survival depends on the life energy of a Sixter – and dark, unknown powers creep inside. The war that has ravaged the other Sixter towns is closing in, and in a letter, Akela sends a cryptic warning from the halls of Queen Sora. But what does it mean? Outside help is needed, and Dawn and her friends must walk straight into the arms of the enemy to get it. One thing is certain: if the war catches up with them, all of Luscuro will suffer devastating losses … The Element War is the third book in the series The Rift to Luscuro. On her journey, Dawn discovers not only friendship and love, but also enemies, a disastrous imbalance of power, and secrets far greater than any her hometown of Aalborg ever held.
