The Letterbox Podcast is a collection of real letters, written by real people, about the things that matter most. Each episode opens a new letter — a story of love, loss, memories, change, hope and everything in between. These are the words people needed to say, the stories they wanted heard, and the moments they never wanted to forget. Because behind every letter is a person. And behind every person is story. Every letter deserves a place to be heard. 💌 Have a letter to share? Send it to theletterboxpodcast@outlook.comLucy Biographies & Memoirs Social Sciences

  • To The One My Soul Chose | A love letter To My Future Partner
    Sep 17 2026

What would you write to the person you haven’t met yet?

Five years ago, Vera Lee wrote a letter to her future partner — someone she had yet to meet, but was already imagining a life with.

In this episode, I read her words about love, timing, distance, and the hope of finding someone whose life will become intertwined with yours.

The letter comes from Vera’s book, Feel Our Future, a collection of letters and thoughts exploring the things we feel, hope for, and sometimes struggle to say.

Thank you to Vera for sharing this beautiful letter with The Letterbox Podcast. You can find more of her work at @feelourfuture.

  • A Letter to the Mothers I Met Along the Way | The Conversations So Many Parents With They Could Have
    Sep 16 2026

A letter about motherhood, the small talk we make with other mums, and all the things we often leave unsaid.

Kathryn @theshift.parenthood reflects on the mothers she has met on buses, at soft play, in parks and at baby groups — the brief conversations that stay on the surface, even when what we really want to ask is, how are you actually doing?

From sleep and Calpol to returning to work, exhaustion and the strange new world of motherhood, sometimes a tiny moment of connection can make what we’re carrying feel a little less like ours alone.

Thank you to Kathryn for sharing this letter with The Letterbox Podcast.

  • Dear Listener | Ira Blacker: A Letter About Family, Survival & Rock & Roll
    Sep 10 2026

There are some stories that take a lifetime to tell.

In this episode of The Letterbox Podcast, Ira Blacker shares a deeply personal letter about his childhood, family, survival and the experiences that shaped the man he became.

Ira’s life would eventually take him into the heart of the rock and roll business. After beginning his career in the music industry in the 1960s, he co-founded American Talent International, one of the major rock and roll agencies of its time. His career brought him into the world of artists including Rod Stewart, The Eagles, ZZ Top, Deep Purple, Earth, Wind & Fire, KISS, Rush and Rory Gallagher, among many others.

But this letter takes us much further back — before the music industry, the famous names and the extraordinary career — to the childhood and family experiences that shaped Ira’s life.

It is an honest and deeply personal reflection on family, survival, resilience, and the things we carry with us long after we think we’ve left them behind.

Ira’s remarkable life in the music business is also explored in his memoir, Once A King, Now A Prince, a rock and roll memoir about family, survival and his extraordinary journey from childhood to the centre of rock and roll history.

A huge thank you to Ira for trusting The Letterbox Podcast with his story and his words. ❤️
