A romantic and heart-felt short story

In this first month of spring, with some still chilly evenings, listening to this new Katherine Center short story is a small block of time well spent. With a sudden March snowstorm in the Rocky Mountain setting, you might need to cozy up with a fleece blanket as you enjoy it.

Childhood friends Lily and Walker are snowed in overnight at a cabin in Fort Dunraven. They confront the past while dealing with individual struggles. This full-of-heart, compact story is endearing and romantic. Ellie Gossage delivers wonderful narration, a perfect complement to the characters and Center’s signature writing style.

Sweet Cozy Second Chance Short Story

Everybody’s Favorite Guy is a second chance, opposites attract short story that makes for a great palate cleanser or a quick read when you’re short on time.

This is a sweet, cozy romance you’ll want to curl up with. I was surprised by how connected I felt to Walker and Lily considering the shorter format. There was more depth than I expected, with moments that tugged at my heart and made it ache just a little.

For such a quick listen, the story still delivered on emotion and character connection—but the ending felt very abrupt. I wish we got a little more of how things played out. I wasn’t quite ready to let them go.

If you’re looking for a feel-good, bite-sized romance, this one is worth adding to your TBR. Perfect for when you want something light, cozy, and easy to finish in one sitting.

Ellie Gossage did an outstanding job with the narration. She brought the story to life and played a big part in the connection I felt to the characters. Her performance draws you in and makes you want to stay a while.

Worth it!

Katherine Center just knows how to deliver :) This little story makes me happy in a way so many longer books just don't. I'd recommend picking this one up!
