REESE’S BOOK CLUB PICK • FROM THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF BIG LITTLE LIES, THE RUNAWAY PHENOMENON THAT INSPIRED THE MEGAHIT HBO SERIES

In this highly anticipated sequel, Liane Moriarty examines the complexities of modern women’s lives, shining light on family dynamics and long-hidden truths with wit and compassion. Whether you’ve read Big Little Lies or not, this is the perfect novel for longtime fans and new readers alike.

“Equal parts juicy, gripping, and impossible to put down . . . I loved diving back into the lives of these unforgettable characters.”—Freida McFadden, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Housemaid

The last time we saw the women of Big Little Lies—Madeline, Celeste, Jane, Renata, and Bonnie—their children were five years old. If someone wasn’t invited to a birthday party, feelings were hurt. But ten years have passed and the kids are in high school, navigating all of the drama that accompanies teendom (goodbye playdates, hello drugs, sex, and alcohol).

When the high school principal receives a threatening package in the mail, word quickly spreads throughout the community and parents are in an uproar. But Madeline, Celeste, Jane, Renata, and Bonnie have other things to worry about. Celeste’s mother-in-law, Mary Louise, is behaving oddly—is it old-age forgetfulness and bluntness or something more sinister? Madeline is facing perhaps the biggest challenge of her life, Jane is at a dangerous fork in her marriage, Bonnie has realized there’s only so much solace in yoga. And Renata? Renata is living her best life—revenge is sweet.

When a stranger begins lurking around the school asking supposedly innocent questions, this tightly connected group of women must finally face the full repercussions of the big little truths they have and haven’t shared with their kids. Because the stakes are now much higher than not being invited to an ice-skating party—and the ice has never been thinner for any of them.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“In the buzzy sequel to Big Little Lies, the high school principal receives a threatening package. But Jane, Madeline, Celeste, Renata and Bonnie all have their own problems. Thrilling.”People

Big Little Truths is a deliciously addictive drama that is equal parts juicy, gripping, and impossible to put down. I loved diving back into the lives of these unforgettable characters and watching their stories unfold in ways that were both intriguing and deeply satisfying.”—Freida McFadden, #1 New York Times bestselling author

“What a gossipy, dazzling pleasure it is to be in Liane Moriarty’s mind! She captures perfectly the tender agony of trying to parent teenagers, of being suddenly locked out of the inner life of the child you love more than your own self, even as you are tossed like a sock in the dryer by the rest of your life. The rare sequel that is just as good (and juicy) as the original.”—Rufi Thorpe, author of Margo’s Got Money Troubles

“Warm, funny, shocking, and twisting. Written with such skill and heart, reading Big Little Truths felt like catching up with old friends. I adored it.”—Chris Whitaker, New York Times bestselling author of All the Colors of the Dark

“Don’t wait for the TV series—Moriarty’s sparkling writing is worth the read.”Kirkus Reviews, starred review

I couldn’t wait to “catch up” with this community after 10 years! Every aspect of this book and Big Little Lies truly does make you feel like you know these people and this place and makes you care about all of them! I have read and enjoyed every one of this author’s books but this series holds a special place for some reason. It lingers in the best way. Kudos to all involved in this excellent work!!

Even better than I could’ve anticipated!!

Despite having waited for this sequel for some time, I could not get past the choice of narrator. I found her voice to be very nasal and her tone sharp in an unappealing way. I’m not sure why they chose someone with this cadence and timbre. It took away from an otherwise good storyline and solid writing typical of Liane Moriarty.

Narrator’s Voice Very Grating

I have enjoyed most of Liane's books. My favorite was Big Little Lies. I know it says you don't need to listen to Big Little Lies before you listen to Big Little Truths but I would suggest that you do.
I felt like I have come home to visit my old friends listening to Big Little Truths. Most of the book was very enjoyable, even causing me to chuckle. I love how Liane covers true feelings of different types of people and real like situations making them so relatable. Oh the mixed up emotional lives of young mothers with school age children.
Caroline Lee does a wonderful job narrating both of these books. I have found and listened to other books that she has narrated.
The HBO series of Big Little Lies was also awesome with some great acting.

Liane Moriarty is one of my favorite authors

I didn't think Moriarty could do it, but she did. This is an amazing book, not only as a sequel, but all on it's own. The story is complex, the characters have become only more real, which I wouldn't have thought possible. I felt like I was with friends, good friends throughout. I am once again, sad to say goodbye.

Absolutely Fabulous!

Absolutely enjoyed almost every second of this book. Which is nothing new. Moriarty never disappoints.
