Its a gem

Just a really good read and interesting powers. The world has pretty much all fantasy monsters and races and bloodlines between families is a huge part of it. Looking forward to the next one.

Story needs a male and female narrator

Good story, a little bit slow paste because it’s more of a slice of life, mystery dispersed with a little bit of action. The issue I have is the MC is a crybaby, whiny, and doesn’t seem to get the idea that he needs to learn to fight human beings as well as dragons. The other issue I have is the MC needs his own storage device, especially when he separated from his fairy dragon companion. And last of all to all the authors who write in this genre, why does the MC have to wait till the last part of the book to grow a spine and get a backbone. Hopefully in the next book, which I will read the pace will pick up a bit, the MC will get a backbone and some sort of healing ability. The book is worth reading if just a little bit slow if you like the authors other series, you will probably like this book.

hits most of the standard points

this story was an odd combination. it had the normal progression fantasy stuff and a strange cultivation method. the bloodline detail was cool. the spell incantations could have been a little less normal and a little more magical.

the story was good. it followed an interesting path and was a place where the book deviated from most tropes in an unexpected way.
