Creed King doesn't do love. He does power, control, and loyalty on his own terms.

As the heir to Harlem's most feared crime family, Creed has spent his life balancing the fine line between business and brutality. His father built an empire, and now it's his turn to take the reins. But before he can fully step into his role, there's one last job to handle. A personal one.

Sloane Reid isn't the type to let her guard down. A sharp-minded therapist with a carefully built life, she's always been in control—until a one-night stand with a stranger shakes her foundation. What was supposed to be a fleeting moment turns into something far more complicated when that same man walks into her office, demanding therapy sessions he has no real interest in.

Creed knows he should stay away. Sloane doesn't belong in his world. But there's something about her strength, something about her fire, that keeps pulling him back. Sloane wants distance, but Creed isn't a man who takes no for an answer.

The deeper she falls, the more she realizes Creed isn't just a man with a troubled past—he's a man with blood on his hands. And in his world, love isn't just dangerous. It's a liability.

But some risks are worth taking.

Dive into this gripping, high-stakes romance where power collides with passion. Creed is a standalone novel in a series about the King brothers—men who rule the streets, the boardroom, and the hearts of the women who dare to love them. Listen now and discover why the King family isn't just feared… they're unforgettable.

I have been waiting a while for this book to be on audible. So excited to listen and when it started I was READY. UNTIL! The book was good no doubt. I guess I was just not ready for the tragedy/ mystery. I was disappointed about the brother, I do wish that could have played a little differently especially with that being her only family. It broke my heart about the cousin, Meko, just why? It’s a nice romance but it’s a tragedy. I think the mystery of the story was just a little too strong for the purpose of the love displayed in the story. I guess I was looking more for the love. But still good.

Was it worth the wait??? 🤔

Creed was locked in from the beginning. I hate that Sloane had so many trash people in her life but two of her friends were real ones. I can't wait to listen to Riot's story!!

I absolutely love this series, and I honestly can’t even choose a favorite out of the three. I was excited for the audio release, but I really didn’t care for the female narrator. She did a terrible job. I haven’t liked her narration in other books either, (she’s stiff asf) and I think she should stick to a different genre. Myles, carried this entire audiobook on his back; if it weren’t for him, I would’ve asked for my money back. The book itself is incredible. I love, love, love the story… just not the female narration.

Amazing book, But the Female Narration Missed the Mark

The female narrator wasn't a good fit and took away from the story. She's a good narrator but this wasn't her best work and this character wasn't for her. The book, overall, was good but the last few chapters were ehh. The book started great but ended just ok. I didn't care for a whole chapter of the fmc going on and on trying to convince us why her choices were right/not wrong. Those connections could have been made naturally throughout the book without a chapter that felt like you were trying to convince me she's still likeable. The last 3 chspters just fell flat for me. Otherwise, I liked both main characters and the way their family dynamics played out.
