a Good listen

I was hoping for hard science in this story so was disappointed by poor historical accuracy and little realistic portrayal of how long scientific progress can take. But if facts and accuracy don’t matter to you you might like this story.
It kind of bothers me that he portrayed the Inca people as big into human sacrifice and cannibalism, when they apparently only sacrificed a few children by drugging them on a mountain top and letting them freeze to death in a pit covered with a rock slab. Not the greatest religious practice but on par with the rest of the world at the time this was supposed to be taking place in. There are a few things like that though out the story. I’m sure he could claim that this is a parallel universe but he lets things get pretty messy mixing his history with this world.

More fantasy than sci-fi
