Monty & Penny

This was such a fantastic read/listen. This book put me in the mood for fall immediately. I loved the small town vibes, A+ meddling townspeople with out of control texting, curvy FMC best friend and pining since high school. This is the perfect cozy, swoonworthy series that everyone should be reading this fall.

Monty and Penny were best friends in high school. After graduating and moving into different directions in life Monty decides to come back to Hope Harbor in hopes to write his next best seller. He reconnects with Penny and sparks fly right from the beginning.

Penny loves all things Fall, her romance books and her commitment in seeing her bookstore thrive. She is so relatable with her sweet personality and common insecurities of a curvy girl. I loved how Monty made her realize her worth and what she deserves.

Monty with his dirty mouth and slutty glasses wanting to bring all of Penny’s fantasies to life had me smiling like a school girl. He was so endearing on how committed to the assignments he was given.

Narrators Megan Wicks and James Cassidy are flawless together. They are really becoming two of my favorite narrators. They killed it in this audiobook. I have listened to them together in Snow, another one of Brittanee’s fantastic books and they are just perfection in my ears.

As usual Brittanee Nicole delivers!!

Gaaaaahhhhhh tattoos and slutty glasses say less. I of course knew I would love this book and I did. I took my time savoring it because I didn’t want it to end. I am so obsessed with this universe that Brittanee Nicole has created and I will jump at ANY chance to read ANYTHING she writes. This one was so good, it’s the second book of the Hope Harbor Series and Penny and Monty’s story. It had all the laughs (the town chat is so entertaining!) not to mention a spoiled baby highland cow, and of course all the spice!!! It’s a must read!!! But make sure you read Darling Daffodils Farm first!!! AND we MUST talk about the narrators who of course gave the most outstanding performances! Megan Wick and James Cassidy are two of my faves and they were absolutely brilliant as Penny and Monty!

Pack my bags— I’m heading to Hope Harbor!

This was my first Brittanee Nicole book and will certainly not be my last. Brittanee backlist here I come.

Penny and Monty are childhood friends who drift apart after high school. When Monty’s writing career starts to fail, he moves back home for a little inspiration. That inspiration takes shape in the form of his best friend Penny; whom he’s had a crush on forever. Little does he know, she’s had a crush on him for just as long. When they agree to mutually beneficial fake dating, lines get blurred and feelings come out.

This book was everything cozy. From the setting, to the characters, to the town activities. It made me want to jump inside the book and never leave.

I absolutely adored Penny and Monty. Their banter was A+ and their chemistry was palpable; both in the friendship and relationship. I mean, I was not expecting the amount of spice in this one, let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised.

The town antics were the absolute cherry on top and gave me total Gilmore Girls vibes. I loved it.

I can’t wait to see where this story takes me next.

Obsessed with them!

If I could live in Hope Harbor, I would be there in a heartbeat! This is the perfect book for those cozy fall vibes and about to be my entire personality because I am a fall girlie! And then add in the fact that Monty has tattoos and wears glasses…cue the swooning!! I absolutely loved Penny & Monty! Their friendship is so easy going and it’s clear how comfortable they are around each other. But when they decide to fake date, I was done for! Will forever be a favorite trope of mine and I was obsessed with seeing their story play out!

This audiobook is performed in duet by Megan Wicks & James Cassidy and let me just say, it is PERFECTION! If you’re debating on whether or not you should listen to this one, do yourself a favor and just get the audio!

Such a well written love story. Monte is my new favorite book boyfriend and I love Penny. Also, the narration was top tier!! I'm so excited for Billie & Eli.
