Fun-loving socialite Tasha Endicott is stranded at a deserted small-town train station on her way to a house party. Thurley is a minister, and he and his loving mother adhere to strict interpretations of the Bible. It is a strange but intriguing world to Tasha, and when it's time for her to leave, she finds her own life somewhat vacuous.

Meanwhile, Thurley has found her gold shoe in a snow drift, and somehow the two keep missing each other as he attempts to return it...

I just love the way Anne Hancock brings the characters to life.

Anne Hancock is one of my favorite narrators the way she brings the characters to life, I almost feel like I can see them when she reads.

A delightful, cozy story

This story was SO good, especially the audible version read by Anne Hancock. I loved how the story opens- a harsh winter storm, a beautiful stranded debutant exposed to the elements, a handsome rescuer who knows just what to do, and a cozy cottage refuge with a grandmother- type hostess who tucks the girl in warm quilts, pampers her, and gives her hot tea. The story continues with many ups and downs, until everything comes together perfectly in the end.

God never fails

This is a beautiful love story mixed with intrigue and hope when Christ is first in one's life. I didn't want to put this story aside. So enjoyable!
