Is this a LITRPG story?

I finished the audio book and it was a decent story especially with the greater world building going on. That said the story focused way too much on the moral aspects of killing. I felt like it eclipsed the story and for me it was tedious. It’s a good listen but be prepared for continual moral hand wringing

unfortunately Lackluster

The hype behind it and the comparison to other great Lit RPGs unfortunately worked against this book.
It got expectations up to high, just to be let down.
Over all the book didn’t captivate. The world building wasn’t established very well.
You still know next to nothing about the world.
The constant morality of the characters decisions was over done to the point that it negatively effected the read.
But I do hope the writer gives more on the next book and keeps perfecting his craft

Good concept

I really enjoyed this book. It definitely falls into the category of OP MC. I feel like the system and class stole the show. I really liked seeing how things advanced and evolved. The plot was good and entertaining. The narrator did a good job too.

Judgement

The constant judgement and justification of certain actions was genuinely tiresome. The book was way too focused on the morals of everything rather than just telling the dang story. This is a fantasy story. Except for books that are specifically for children, you’re gonna end peoples lives. Probably a lot.

Also for a first book I’m a bit disappointed with the lack of establishing the “why” of the events that took place against the dragons. This “mission of revenge for your bloodline but also because if you don’t they’ll find you and end your life because of what you are anyway” plot made it really hard to invest myself into this story.

Basically this first book has set a very lofty and far off goal with a very flimsy foundation of purpose and drive.

I don’t see this ball making it over the fence, so to speak.

so there's no world building, the characters have next to no personality other then its needed to further the plot. I was going to talk about everything that just didn't work in this book but I'll just say this. this book read like someone's first ever written story. they put pen to paper and created this but it should of just been a learning/practice book and never should of been published. the Author style of writing isn't polished yet in this work.
