At least, I’ve seen both of the new movies from Lance Oppenheim, one of which is PRIMETIME which we review later in the show, but the other is YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING, the incredibly buzzy documentary about Elizabeth Holmes that isn’t out here in the UK until Nov 20th. I use this opportunity to give you a completely SPOILER FREE window into the hype. No review. No details. Just discussing the discourse and why I think it is making such big waves. Trust me. You are in safe hands. I’ll be reviewing YCSE in the week of UK release as usual. (As I say we then review PRIMETIME in full).

This week on FoF we mourn (and celebrate) the passing of LFF by doing a nice little debrief of my most overrated, underrated, surprising and disappointing movies at the festival. I also tell the story of the most annoying audience member of the whole 10 days.

We then move on to review 2 movies released this week that Premiered at the festival. First there’s Wildwood, which rallies against the ever looming slop. Then there’s Fatherland, a heartfelt vignette about a time and place not often depicted.
