That's how long my editor gave me to change my book from a baseball romance to one about hockey. A complete rewrite. Which is how I find myself in Montana, a thousand miles from home, researching hockey, and preparing to meet a local expert.

There's one small problem.

Or rather a big one. A big, grumpy problem.

My expert is none other than Nick Galaxy—the single dad and hockey captain I ran into minutes after landing in Montana and made a… well, let's just say I didn't make the best first impression. Neither did he, for that matter.

Deciphering his grunts will be nearly as hard as rewriting the entire book.

No matter, I'm up for the challenge.

Oh, and there's one other teeny, tiny thing. Minuscule really.

He has no idea that his dad has volunteered him to help or offered to let me stay in his guest cabin.

Ruby and Nick

I’m a sucker for Rebecca Jenshak’s books and this one was no exception! I love a hockey player MMC and I feel like we got a glimpse at Rebecca herself as the FMC is a romance writer! So many swoon worthy moments and a few characters we’ve seen before! Must read ASAP

Just Fabulous!!!!

I don't usually leave reviews, but this book was SOOOOOO great I couldn't NOT leave one. Everything was just fantastic! So well written with fantastic characters, great storyline, and the narration was phenomenal. Definite re-read. And for those that care, the book was definitely safe with excellent hero & heroine, and fantastic HEA.

Cute slow burn

I thought Ryan did a fantastic job as Nick. This was a cute slow burn. This is a very cutesy book that gave me the feels. If you’re looking for a lighter, hallmark feels this is a good choice. I’m excited to see what the next book brings!

I have read just about all of her books and this was fantastic! I think maybe my very favorite!

She needs his hockey expertise to write her book.

🤩 Single dad. And Ruby is just so good with Aidan.
🤩 When Nick gives in and teaches Ruby about hockey & how to skate. 🏒⛸️
🤩 That sweet hug of care, concern, and support.
