Deadly hilarious

Witty and charming and full of fun and adventure! I listened at work and caught myself laughing out loud more than once. I knew this book would be a good time from the title alone but it far surpassed any expectation I had! Also a great take on loss and grief. I can not wait to watch this world evolve and see what hijinks happen in the next book!

Ben is an absolute gem and I love him

A little death and a little romance and a lot perfect

This is the perfect fantasy rom com. The story was surprisingly beautiful and poignant, with strong themes of loss, friendship and found family. The relationship between the characters is built brick by brick, with the help of a little meddling. It is pretty gory but also really funny. I found myself laughing, swooning and crying. Absolutely wonderful and I can’t wait for the next one!

I had been waiting for this book to get an audiobook for what felt like forever and as I suspected, I loved it. The dual POV made me fall in love with both characters. It was witty, charming, and has me waiting for the next book already.
