Suspenseful Short Story

A fun thriller novella. Grabbed my attention right away and kept it the whole way through. Left me wanting more.

Great premise!

It’s a pretty short story with a lot to unpack, I loved how familiar it sounded, like we all went on hiking trips before so we kinda know how it would have felt. Not a lot of answers just a lot of questions but I guess that’s the beauty of a short story. Perfect for telling it around the campfire.

Meh

I loved the narrator and thought the production value was extremely high. The story itself was just, “meh”. The premise had so much potential, the execution of the written, well it was lacking. Not bad since it was so short, but there was nothing to it at all.
It is comparable to when someone tries to tells scary campfire story and then says “the end” and everyone looks around scratching their heads because they can’t believe that was it, the whole thing. I was disappointed.

Deeply chilling

A deeply existentially chilling listen. Excellent idea and will leave you unsettled. In a good way of course.

Good story.... Abruptly ended.

I feel like it was only the first quarter of a good novel. It ended without answering any questions. That said it held my attention and had well developed characters. I have to say come on though he should have helped the dog ... poor guy!
